Default Envelope punch board

I finally purchased the envelope punch because I wanted to make my envelopes for my Christmas cards. I finished everything up today and went to put my cards in the envelopes and they are so tight I can hardly fit them in. It is the A2 size. The finished size is 1/4 inch shorter than the A2 measurements from any other envelope. So what's the scoop? I would think that size would be the most popular yet they got the measurements wrong. How do I fix this.

I use a 8 x 8 piece os paper and 3 1/2" for the scorelines. This is the formula someone on this site gave. My A2 cards fit nicely. The finished size of the 'Board' envies is the same size of my store bought A2 envies.

I didn't do much research on the board before I bought it. I just had seen everyone here rave about it. Then I found it real cheap one day, bought it, came home and used it without reading instructions. I placed the paper at the first 'stated' score line. BUT....then when I turned the paper I also put it at the original 'stated' score line instead of lining the first score line up with the marker. :-( I now make all the envies the right size and am loving it!!!! Good luck.

I've been thinking about getting an envelope board. Glad your liking yours..now ;) lol
Wondering if there are differences between the SU and the Memory one? And if so what? Which do folks like better?

The Stampin Up board should be the same just re-branded with their logo.

Both boards are made by WRMK. The SU version has a bit of a color change and the measurements for a 4.25 x 5.5 size envelope are on the sticker. That is really the only difference.

I just got an envie board and posted this same question too. I couldn't believe with all those measurement options, not one was a good fit for a standard A-2! My husband, the math mind, played around with it and couldn't come up with a good fix!

I was so happy when I read someone had figured out the above measurements!
