Welcome Students to our SCS Scrap Advance Degree Program
This weekend Advance Degree Program will not only provide you with a scrap challenge but will also help you complete pages and preserve memories.
Each Challenge will include (3) three options. This options will be for you to earn a Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate degree. It is your choice if you would like to just take a few classes or earn one, two or all three degrees.
Scrap Foundations
One of the most difficult parts of completing a scrapbook layout or page is just getting started. One of the best ways to do this is to utilize a Scrapbook Sketch. The sketch becomes a great foundation for starting the page. During this class, our challenge is to encourage you to find a *New* Sketch Site that you feel will be helpful to you as you go forward. Here are some suggestions to get you started. We would encourage you to try a site you've not used before:
Bachelors Degree
To complete your Bachelors Degree you will need to select one of the sites listed and utilize a sketch as the foundation of your page. Some changes can be included but the sketch will need to be recognizable
Masters Degree
To complete your Masters Degree you will need to select one of the sites listed and utilize a sketch as the foundation for 2 pages. For the 2nd page, you will need to rotate the sketch in some way. Some changes can be included but the sketches will need to be recognizable.
Doctorate Degree
To complete your Doctorate Degree you will need to identify a sketch site that is not listed above and complete a 2 page layout using the sketch site identified. In your upload please list a link to the sketch site. Some changes can be included but the sketches will need to be recognizable.
1. To be considered for VSBN Degree Program, you will need to complete the "classes" by the following dates:
Bachelors Degree -- All Classes must be completed by November 30, 2013
Masters Degree -- All Classes must be completed by December 14, 2013
Doctorate Degree -- All Classes must be completed by December 28, 2013
2. Please be sure to write your description of how you interpreted this challenge in your Upload Description.
3. Please remember to put in the correct KEYWORD VSBN1113A when uploading your image; a wrong keyword means your submission may not be seen for consideration. Copying and pasting the challenge keyword is recommended to avoid typos.
It is also highly recommended that you post a link to your creation in this chat thread to be sure your layout can be enjoyed by all .

I'm intrigued. Your description has me thinking I must pay a fee. LOL! I need to read it again, and again. Then have some coffee and read it again. LOL!! Just kidding!

for the Doctorate Degree, I'd need to complete 3, two page LO's, using 3 different sketch sites, one not listed, and all done & shared here by the Dec. 28th deadline?
What size must these LO's be? is there a photo minimum for the LO's?

Maybe I'm reading this wrong. I thought we picked what level we want to earn, but you're saying for the doctorate, I would need to do all three? Lela, please clarify!
Just now taking a moment to read the first challenge of yesterday. It sounds very interesting and I do believe I will start with the bachelors degree and see what I can earn through Dec.
Sharon don't forget the Bachelors degree layouts are due by Nov 30th.
Cheryl, in order to earn a degree higher than a bachelors you would need to complete the bachelors first. Look at breaking your challenges down like this and don't miss the dead lines.

Shannon ... good question, thanks for asking. If you choose to complete the Doctorate degree level you would just select another Sketch Site and do a page or layout from that site.
It's totally up to you what "degree" program you choose to complete

Here is my Bachelors! Whahoo! We will see if I get another one done!
I used Scrappy Sketches, the one on Sept 11, 2013. I have never used any accept for SCS and Cheryl's. So this was a new site!
Finally got started on VSBN and decided to go for my doctorate! I used the double page sketch from Page Maps, November 2013. Today is my scrappy day since I'm not hosting Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow, so hopefully I can get another layout done today.
