We thought we could take this 5th week to pull out one of the old challenges, "dust it off", and perhaps give it a new twist. Well be taking old challenges during the 5th weeks Oct, Dec, Jan, Mar and I didn't look up the rest but ... you get the idea and giving them a Twist.
I am really excited to be the hostess of this Twisted challenge. It gave me the opportunity to go back and look at a lot of the old challenges. There are so many of them, it was hard to choose!
For this first challenge I wanted something that everyone could have fun playing along, whether you are a traditional, digi or hybrid scrapper. So I looked at the weekly themes we have and decided on the including these old challenges with a twist.
a.Choose one of the first five sketch layouts (SBSC01 thru SBSC05) and twist it in to a 12x12 layout; your challenge is to create a border (SBVC05 or SBVC144) around the original sketch using one of these old challenges:
b. SBVC24 Fibers optional twist it up: use border stickers that look like fiber
c. SBVC80 Distressed Chipboard- optional twist it up: use ink or paint
d. SBVC110 Mosaic optional twist it up: tiles, scrap paper cut into squares, or photos
e. SBVC133 Ribbon Rewind optional twist it up: washii tape
I am working on a layout for this challenge but I'm finding it hard to stay within the guide lines!! ;-)
The 'guidelines' are meant to be a starting point.
If one of the original 5 layouts can be converted to a 12x12, go for it! OR if you can use one of the border challenges, that works too.
Just have fun with one of the old challenges (converting a 8x11 or a border) listed if that sparks something!
Hope that helps!

I just came across this challenge. Looks like fun and welcome as a new hostess!!!
I don't know if you posted a link to it through the Goals challenge thread, but if not, I'd suggest you do, as most of the scrappers who do challenges check that thread a lot.

Thanks! I posted a link in the Stashbusters challenge. Will have to get one in the Goals challenge too!

I have to get scrapping again. I have so many photos to scrap, it is overwhelming! And I haven 't even printed off any for a year!
Sharon, IKWYM!! The trick is to just not think about what is waiting but take a few that inspire you today and scrap!! In fact those pictures are calling my name now.
I've actually thought maybe next year I would try scrapping photos as I take them AND try to get caught up on the previous years (2009 to date) that I haven't scrapped! Plus, I still want to do my wedding and honeymoon albums! Too overwhelming to think about but it keeps me motivated to keep moving forward!
