Who are the Chics with Paper Power Tools? What is a Paper Power Tool?
First of all, you need to know our definition of a Paper Power Tool: anything that manipulates paper from it's original version. The tool can be powered by electricity or by hand. Everybody has some sort of power tool in their craft toolbox I guarantee you. Here are some examples from the simplest to the most advanced:
shape punches
border punches
distressing tool
stylus/embossing templates
paper piercer
hand-cranked die-cutting machines:Cuttlebug/Big Shot etc.
paper crimper
paper tearing ruler or guide
decorative edge scissors
embossing folders used with Cuttlebug/Big Shot etc.
digital die-cutting machines: Cricut, Slice, Silhouette, Pazzles, etc.
sewing machine or needle & thread
We are Chics who enjoy creating with our Paper Power Tools and our stamps. We create cards and/or scrapbook pages. We make tags, ATC's, inchies, and altered items. We don't always use a power tool on a project but, we do upload our creations to our blogs because we love sharing and inspiring others. If you can handle the following guidelines then this is the group for you.
Please note: We have just revised our name and our rules and have opened up the doors to new members. Just post in this thread if you would like to join and can abide by the following guidelines.
Updated Guidelines as of 9/15/13:
Pop into this thread whenever you have uploaded a new creation to your blog. It no longer has to be made with the Cricut.
Try to visit as many people as you can while you are here and leave a comment on their latest post.
Become a follower of everyone who joins the group.
Practice good blogging etiquette: return comments and follows when you have time.
There are no hard and fast rules as to how often you have to blog. Some of us blog more than others. And Life Happens. That part is up to you. Just share with us when you do update.
When you pop in all you have to say is "updated my blog with____". It doesn't get any easier!
Add us to your side bar under the heading Chics with Paper Power Tools.
Our group is small enough that we should also try to really get to know one another. Feel free to share what is going on in your life as well. It's not all about the comments.
This last guideline is optional: participate in monthly challenges with the group. Again, we realize that things happen that may not allow you to participate, but it is a great way to get inspiration and share your projects.

Good morning everyone! I am off in a few minutes to take a truck load of stuff to the local church thrift store. They are going to think they hit the motherload! I have been cleaning out closets this weekend and boy do I have a ton of stuff!!
DH and I got our new Tempur-pedic bed this weekend and love it! We got the one with the massage functions and the up/down for the foot and head. Plus it is a cool breeze mattress. I hope it helps with my sciatica issues with my back.
I also ordered a new computer for myself over the weekend. I can't wait to get my new Dell and it is pink too!!!
i'm here! and my blog is more or less functional so i am not avoiding it so much anymore lol. i have to make the rounds and update my blogroll but i will get to that soon, i promise!
Wow dell! What a weekend you had. doesn't it feel good to deep clean?
We have the memory foam mattress, but not with the bells and whistles you have. Let me know how they work, the massage feature sounds amazing!

Thanks ladies! We took my In Laws last night to check out the house. I'm still in love with it, but my FIL did point out a few things that we need to consider with the house that we should point out when we do the inspection (provided that we actually put in a bid.)
Dell - your mattress has a massage function???? I would seriously never get out of bed.
Happy Happy Friday! Hope you all have a fun weekend ahead of you! I'm going to a stamping event tomorrow at my upline's house and then the Guinness and Oyster Festival on Sunday! Yay!

Ditto on that Sarah!! Such a big decision when buying a house. Did I mention that I remodeled a couple houses years ago? One was over 100 years old. Lots of sweat, tears and money.

Had an extemely busy week this past week at work. Tomorrow I go in and finish my week. Afterward coming home to watch my Gators play Tennessee. Youngest DD is coming over for dinner. Sunday, DH and I may be taking the piano to older DD house. Depends on the weather.
I have several projects I need to post to my blog. Just short on time lately. I promise I will get mine updated this weekend.
Good evening all! Been in my craft room creating all afternoon yesterday and all day today. I haven't had time to get to my blog. So, guess I will play catch up this week.
Hi Jackie. I just looked at your blog and would like to enter the tic tac toe challenge but I don't know how to post my card. Do I post it to my own blog and include the URL in a comment? Or some other way? Thanks.
