October has been a busy month with HYCCT! So I'm taking an easy option for the TLC challenge this week  and we're going to use a tutorial I made for SCS last year.
Today we are going to make
Flip Down Stack cards. You can find the tutorial
HERE, and there's also a video tutorial at the bottom of the page, after the photo tutorial.
As mentioned at the bottom of the tutorial, photo turns are an alternative to using magnetic snaps for the closure - or I noticed Broom using a velcro dot in the wonderful card she made for my HYCCT challenge earlier this month, so that's another possibility. If you don't have any of these, maybe you can be super-imaginative and come up with another possibility!! I'm thinking that even a narrow ribbon threaded through two slots cut in the base just behind the tab and tied over it would hold it closed - we all have ribbon I think, even me.
I hope you have fun with it!!
It's a holiday here today, so I should be around most of the day; if you have any questions post them here and I'll reply ASAP.
Here's my sample:
Flipping Dragonflies
Here's the gallery for the
TLC453 Flip-Down Stack challenge.
When you've created your card upload it to the gallery and then come back and link it here so we can all see it!
We have a special section of the gallery for this technique, so when you are uploading, choose Technique Spotlight from the main gallery option list and Flip Down Stack card from the sub-gallery dropdown list.
If you're not sure how to link a card to this thread, here's how:
1. Open 2 windows or tabs: one window for your card and one for this thread.
2. In this thread, click on reply and type anything you want to show before the link.
3. Go to your card window. Highlight the address for your card. (It says www. splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto..... and so on)
4. Click EDIT. Click COPY
5. Go back to this thread. Click PASTE.
I've added an attachment showing the one I made just recently for Teresa's
Stand Tall HYCCT challenge.
