Default Top Christmas Dies and Stamps of 2013?

Seems like most companies have released their Christmas line by now. I have not been impressed generally by the stamps I have seen. Perhaps it is because styles are emphasizing the simple motif, and that ends up being a tree, an ornament, a snowflake, and so on. The stamps are nice, just not so different than stuff I have acquired in years earlier.

The dies, however, are just fantastic; it has been hard to limit the purchase to just a few. I especially like those from Cheery Lynn, Impression Obsession, Memory Box, and Poppy Stamps.

If I were to name the winners, for me, it was classic images from Impression Obsession.
Best Die: Impression Obsession Fir Trees
Best Stamp: Impression Obsession Brush Tree Line
I can imagine using these two over and over, and not necessarily just in Christmas cards.

Okay, just my opinion. Which new holidays stamps and dies did you HAVE TO HAVE and did they meet your expectations? (I'm still game to buy a few more...)

I am just starting out and so my supplies are small. But I have been drooling over the new Memory box Christmas dies. I just don't know where to start.

I agree. I have been searching for awhile now for a stamp I can sink my teeth into for this year's cards. Just can't seem to find the type I'm looking for (never had trouble in the past) I'm afraid I am having to rumage through my old Christmas stamps and just use them.

I haven't found any Christmas stamps that I "must have" this year. I love the Memory Box and Poppystamp dies and will get some new Christmas dies. Luckily I have lots of old Christmas stamps - 4 photo boxes full! Some are over 20 years old, PSX and other older stamp companies and I still love them!

The trouble I have with using my old stamps is, I get tired of them when I do so many of the same cards. I don't like the sort of assembly line production you need to do for holiday cards so I look forward to using something new each year. Do love my old PSX designs tho.

I never make more than 4 of each card idea. This makes it easy to use lots of my older stamps along with any new ones each year. I don't use the same stamps in 2013 that I used in 2012; by rotating them I get to use more of them and don't tire of them since it might be 5 or more years before I use the same stamps again. I don't mind purging other stamps but have a hard time getting rid of Christmas ones!

I just love the new Papertrey Ink set called Two Feet Deep because I haven't seen anything like it. It has a sled, skis, and snowshoes. It has two-step stamping for more detail and matching dies.
