Challenge Title: Impossible Things Happen
Hostess: mrslaird aka Paula
Keyword: HYCCT1323
Date: Wednesday, October 23rd, 2013
While I was thinking about my challenge I kept singing this part of the song "Impossible" by Rodgers and Hammerstein from Cinderella.
But the world is full of zanies and fools,
Who don't believe in sensible rules,
And won't believe what sensible people say,
And because these daft and dewy eyed dopes keep building up impossible hopes,
Impossible, things are happening every day.
And to quote the other Cinderella, the dreams that you wish can come true! Let's celebrate the magic of hope, faith, happy thoughts, and believing in the impossible.
My challenge is to make a card inspired by a fairy tale .

Morning everyone! I'm getting my son ready for school, but I can't wait to see what you create!

So y'all know, it doesn't have to BE a fairy tale card, just inspired by a fairy tale. So shoes for Cinderella (or being over housework!), apples or mirrors for Snow White, taking a nap/rest up for Sleeping Beauty, you could go punny and make a sports card since many fairy tales feature "balls", plain old pumpkins, forest creatures, houses in the woods, you could make a scary Halloween card because old school fairy tales are kinda creepy. Just sell it in your description! ;)

I really did freak when I say "inspired by a fairy tale" until I googled to get a list of fairy tales and realized I did have an appropriate stamp for the challenge! I came up with a Christmas card using the deer image from an Inkadinkado set called "Holiday Silhouettes"...
LOL!! Thank goodness for google, huh? LOL I love this challenge!! It made me think of all the things I remembered from my childhood - ahhhhhhh happy memories! Disney movies rock!!
I wasn't sure about this one at first..had to search high and low...and came across a stamp I hadn't used in a long time. So thanks for getting me to use an oldie but goodie :p
I love the hope and endless magical possibilities that the Fairy Godmothers from Cinderella inspire, so I did this card- using a sponged background to hint at sky and meadow, with emphasis on the message- here's Choose Hope

Some other ideas are - peapods - because they are definitely close enough to beanstalks.
Bears - three bears.
Anything in a bowl, because it could be porridge.
Weddings or anniversary - happily ever after y'all
Books
Fairy tale colors - blue fairy, red riding hood, snow white, etc
Candy houses
Toys

Paula- awesome challenge! I choose Snow White for my 2nd card as she had the courage to start a new life in the forest. I added some simple flower/button combos for accents- here's Courage, Faith, Life

Frog Prince for me - always fun to pull Unfrogettable out. And I think this will be a fun card to give .
I must say I'm with kramomma in preferring children's stories to the classic fairy tales. When you think about those fairy tales - a lot of them have a pretty dark side to them  before the happy ending.
Lots of great ideas for this one! The mice were a huge part of Cinderella, so a mouse card would be fun. Or how about the tea party in Alice and Wonderland? A tea themed card would be great (I may go that route). There are so many wonderful ways to interpret this one. Great challenge!

Yes, those are great ideas! Along with tea, other Alice ideas are a watch, a belated birthday card of any kind, an unbirthday card, cards, or a caterpillar. And Peter Pan has pirates!
