Default If you make cards with a paper insert...

what type of adhesive do you use to stick the paper in with? I have just re-packaged some cards I made after Christmas, and discovered that the double-sided tape I used is showing through the paper (sort of yellowed). I may have used a cheap brand, although I don't remember for sure. Can you suggest what type of adhesive I could use that won't end up showing through the paper? I've got Mono Aqua or PVA type glues, however I prefer not to use these 'wet' types. I love double-sided tape, but I guess I'd better use the more expensive brands of it.

I run a line of repositionable E-Z Dots just beside the crease on the front inside of the card.

I just run a strip down the front side by the fold with my ATG gun.

You're not alone here! I used a cheaper brand when I first started, and like you found some older cards had a yellowed line where the tape was. I now use a tape roller- the sort that looks like a type correction strip- and don't have any issues. I think this is about the 'acid free' and archival quality of the tape. I also put mine down the edge of the front fold, which is how they are attached in store bought cards, so the insert opens up when you open the card.

I use Scotch brand photo splits. They are really thin but stick really well! No mess.
