I ran across this quiz earlier, and I loved that it applied to our right/left brain dominance in art. It's a fascinating concept. I came out 90% right brain dominant. How about you??
I was 55% right brain... but I felt like a couple of my answers needed qualification - like the one about if you read all the instructions before using something new... I said that I did, but it actually depends entirely on how much I spent on it and how much I have! LOL
55% right brain so I'm about equal. I thought I'd be much more right brain. The right brain/left brain thing has fascinated me for years. When I was in grad school in my 30's I listened to Bach and Mozart while I studied for tests and I truly think it helped me ace most courses!
I took this quiz twice because I too wanted to qualify some of my answers. I scored 50% the first time and 55% the second time and both scores noted that I use my left and right brains equally. So changing my answers on my 'iffy' questions didn't change the outcome by much. I guess I had the same amount of 'iffy' left answers as I did 'iffy' right answers.
Interesting.
Thanks for sharing the links. I sent them on to my DD studying child psych in college.

Hmmmm.....this was interesting, I am 60% right brained dominant. And, I have to agree with many of you here, I could do either on some of the questions asked. However, the first question was a no-brainer, Lol! Thanks Dina, that was fun.

I answered 8 out of 20 as "right brain." I'm 40% left brain dominant. Several of those 8 answers I could have gone either way. Especially the question regarding name and faces. When asked if I had the patience to answer 20 more questions I said, no. *laughing*
I remember both faces, names and my surroundings. I believe that's part of my personality, but, I was trained to remember things like this as well. One thing I've always done ~ when the lights are off I visualize the room layout. I can move through the house in complete darkness and not run into things. I also locate all exits when I'm in new surroundings. I also make it a point to find visual points while driving. I may not remember the street but I will remember the visual. Before long I'll know the cross streets and area.
I also remember the test we took in High School where you clasp your hands together. Which ever thumb ended up on top was opposite of what side of brain was dominant. So for me when I clasp my hands my left thumb is on top meaning I am right brained.
Fifty fifty for me! It was interesting - thanks, Dina!
The names/faces one especially interested me. I am terrible at faces - I've done a couple of online facial recognition tests and I fail them abysmally every time I try. When we used to train the choir in a primarily African church, I often failed to recognise some of the women when they changed their hairstyle.
How fun! I'm 55% right brain. (I'm also ambidextrous) so that's probably right, lol! I also remember reading somewhere that you could tell which hand a baby would prefer by the way their hair swirled at the crown. My hairdresser informed me I have a double crown. Now if I can just get my DH to do as I command, lol.
I had a brilliant-to-me, right-brained moment this week teaching a class where culturally the style of learning is very left-brained - it was very interesting!
