Big Shot died again...any new die cutting machines out there

Well, my second Big Shot is not working anymore. I have already had parts replaced once in the past 6 months since I owned it. Tired of dealing with it. Is there any new diecut machines out there that I need to consider? I am looking at getting the Big Shot Pro. Any feedback on it or a better choice would be appreciated! Not sure how I will function without a diecut machine!!!

You CANNOT function without a diecut machine LOL so don't try it ;)

I really like my Vagabond, but it does not have the large format capability that the Big Shot Pro has.

I am looking at Amazon...they seem to have about the best price. I think I just do too much die cutting and wear the Big Shots out. It was a pain to put the new parts in and hubby said I need something more durable. May get replacement parts eventually to have as a back up.

Wow, I wonder what is going on with your BS. I have 2 - one is 3 yrs the other 2 yrs old and no problems. They get used a lot in classes and nothing has broken so far.

I'm wondering if the layers you are using are too thick because you're going to have the same problem with other machines. I remember the Accu-Cut machines that my LSS had. These were really heavy duty but expensive.

I think they do wear out. I am on my 4th Cuttlebug. I die cut and emboss so much as i mass produce that i really believe that is what happens. I recently got an Ebosser. It seems to take all dies and no cranking.

The only other machine that is comparable to the Big Shot Pro is the Accucut GrandeMark or the Mark IV (which I have). They are true workhorses. And if you buy the Accucut platform, you can use all the old Sizzix dies with it. Go to accucutcraft dot com to check them out. I love my Accucut. I also have a Big Shot, but the Accucut is so much more stable (read heavy) - it does take up some room on the craft table.

Well, I finally ordered the Big Shot Pro! I got a great deal through Overstock and then had a 15 percent off coupon...plus some O Rewards. In the end it ended up costing me $216 and free shipping. So, I am pleased. I did have to order the acessories as well but also got a good deal on those with my reward $$ from the purchase of the machine! Love Overstock.com!

SoSherry.. glad that you got a new machine. I would be lost without my trusty ole' BigKick. I bought it many years ago from Costco.com for $59 and I have cranked thousands of things thought it and she still goes on without any issues. I bought a Grand Calibur and the handle kept falling off.. they replaced it but it sits on the floor and I just use my BigKick.. I think it's because I am so used to it. Let us know how you like the Big Shot Pro.
