You can join our incredible papercrafting community at NO COST. So what are you waiting for?
This week, and every week in the future we will be posting both a 12 X 12 AND a 8-1/2 X 11 double page layout.
Cindy's Note: I had to cheat this week and lift a scrapbook layout off the internet. I started a FT job this week and things are just moving too fast for me to stay on top of them. I am sure you will all love it!
Tracy's Note: I *did* create my own sketches this week...But...I didn't care for them as a 2 page layout...So, HERE'S my CHALLENGE to you...CHOOSE ONLY ONE of the 2 PAGES that I created to make a page. Then, if you decide to make a 2 page layout create your own coordinating page! Please be sure to note in your upload which sketch you are choosing (#1 or #2). So, Which Sketch Will YOU Choose???
You do not have to fill ALL empty spaces with photos, you can stamp, embellish or use your imagination and fill in the blanks! Just make sure you USE THE SKETCH we provide!! You must follow our sketches to be eligible to win the prize this week. If a double page layout is too much for you to do, we will still judge one page layouts that follow the sketch (just delete one page) If you have any questions post them in here and someone will help you.
Please click the following LINKS to view the Sketches
Scan or take a photo of your work, upload with SBSC37 in the keywords, and post it here for us all to see. Please be sure to type SBSC37 with NO SPACES. Be sure you use these keywords AND in your title so we can search for judging!
Tip: If you like you can type what your journaling says in the notes section of your upload in your galley. Be sure to JOURNAL somewhere on your page this is important when we judge!!
As always...Please remember there are no uploads on Sundays. This means NO UPLOADING! Please do not upload assuming that they will just approve it on Monday AM...If you do then they will get overwhelmed on Monday morning! Thanks! (((hugs)))
Have a Scrap Happy DAY!!!

Howdy!
Thanks for the sketches! They are great! I will print them out when I get home tonight from Jack's. I am actually sitting in the library parking lot checking here. It wasn't worth my time to go home and then back to his house in 40 minutes!
I will need to checdk to see if any pics jump out at me with these to take to Branson this weekend.

Have fun in Branson and break out some fun pages this week! Then you can go back next weekend with some new sketches in mind! LOL ;)
Here is mine, and because of VSN it was approved immediately. This was fun. I love these sketches because they are all I need to get me going. I have had that Sean stamp since he was two and it was nice to finally use it, given that he is 14!!!
Thanks Cindy and have a great week at your new job. You guys are the best.
Alright, don't tell anyone.....but I didn't feel quite into VSN tonight! Shhh!! Keep it down! I have only done two cards so far.....I felt like scrappin' instead. So anyway, I got this week's sketch done and here it is! Hope you like it!!! Remember what I said......don't tell anyone I said that!!!;-)
Here's another. I made the 8 1/2 into a 12 x 12. I wanted to do both the VSN challenge with the hodge podge hardware but couldnt' figure out how to add 2 of those hardware to the page. There is hardware inside the center of the heart where I put the ribbon. I made the top patterned paper with the loving hearts stamp set. I really like how this came out. Thanks Lisa and Cindy for this sketch.
Thank you gals once again for a fabulous sketch challenge! I'm just curious, do you all have design/art backgrounds? All of your sketches always turn out so nicely balanced without looking boring (like mine!!). I do appreciate you all doing this for us. Good luck with your job, Cindy!
P.S. Kimmie, you are so funny!! I know just how you feel when you are doing something but you'd rather be scrappin'!! Unfortunately, that covers a wide range of things such as work, cleaning, laundry, and sometimes even sleep!! Keep up the great work - your secret's safe with us !!
P.P.S. It's SBSC37, Kimmie ;)
Here's my 12x12 challenge. I used only the right page on this one, but I love this sketch so I'm using it again with both pages! Hopefully it will be done today.
Great challenges ladies! I hope I have a chance to get them done this week. DH is on Spring Break - its amazing how little I accomplish (of what I want to get done!) when he's here. And I guess that since I was at the World Figure skating championships on the weekend I've really only been here with him getting in the way for two days. But at least I'm getting a little bit of help with the housework! And he's starting to notice that my feet are getting too swollen and sore to stand much so he's started helping with meals. I'm 37 weeks today - so ideally only three weeks to go. I know, who am I kidding - babe's going to be born early!!! ;-) (the power of positive thinking - tee hee).

Keep the faith, Laurel. BOTH of my girls were born at 37 weeks!
Take advantage of the help for as long as you can! Both my kids were early too--DD at 39 weeks & DS at 37 1/2 weeks. Good Luck! Hope all goes well in the delivery room! Make sure you share the good news when it happens!
I was happy to finish this layout last night. I like both sketches this week, this dps is for the 12x12 sketch. I am happy with it, but I can't ever add all the beautiful embellishments that I see on other pages. I like them, but then don't know how to put them on my pages!! So, anyway, Christmas 2002 with our kids. Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
I'm so sad that I probably won't get to this week's challenge on time- my dad was just hospitalized and I'm on call tomorrow night- too much stress for one week:( I'm hoping to use it for some summer pictures anyway, so I'll post them when I eventually get to it- everyone's work looks great this week so far!!!

Sorry to hear about your dad. Hope that everything turns out okay.

Heidi, you and your Dad are much more important than this! I hope it's nothing serious, will keep him in my thoughts. Take care of yourself, and we'll be here for you whenever you need us

Thinking of you, hey that means we can make baby cards for a change - LOL

Heidi, we will be thinking of you and your family; and watching for those layouts when you get them done. (((Hugs)))
I finished it!!! We went to my niece's skating carnival this weekend so I just had to use the photos my DH took. He has a fancy, expensive digital camera that takes way better pictures than my little one does, expecially action shots in lousy light! He can be helpful to have around, sometimes!;) I can't believe I actually scrapbooked something current! here it is.
Laurel, I just looked at those pages and love them! You're right about taking action shots AND in poor light! Those were great photos! Here is a single layout for the first page of Tracy's sketches. More pictures from 2002. Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
Just got my 12x12 sketch uploaded. I tried scanning this time, because I was unhappy with the way my photo uploaded on the theme this week. They are pieced together, so the second page has a shadowed effect above the shaker box...oh well, I think overall it was worth it. Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
I am in the process of uploading now!!! Oh please let it be on time!
And a big duh for me. I took the pics with the new camera and we (I) don't know how to upload to the puter yet, and didn't think of using the old one rrr I am wondering if I have a brain today!
Whew, didn't think I would finish this in time to post it. Hope you all enjoy. I am so sorry the scanner and I had a horrible misunderstanding and as you can see, it won! Really, everything is nice and neat and even in the real thing. Thanks for looking. Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
Since I'm sitting on the sidelines this week, can I just tell y'all how GREAT all of these pages have been this week?!! This layout has inspired some pretty amazing pages- I am so impressed!!
