Can you believe this is our 5th year of Scrappin' Goal Challenge?! We sure completed an AWESOME number of pages together in 2009 through 2012 and I'm looking forward to MORE Scrap pages together in 2013! Let's keep scrappin'.
It was SO fun to chat about and see everyone's pages, goals and ideas for completing LOTS of scrapbook pages in 2013! Many had a common theme - get more pages done, use what's in our stash, meet new scrapping friends, plan time/crops...
What fun we'll have sharing ideas, cheering success, keeping the motivation and making new friends. Our scrap goal isn't all about getting pages done, it's also about enjoying the process! Please feel free to join at any time!
Here's the CHALLENGE. Each person can share their page goals, pages and ideas. for those of use who like Annual Goals, we will have a better shot at meeting our yearly goal if we break it down by month.
*In this thread, we track our monthly goals. We find it helps us keep getting pages done which is good for all of us.
You choose your own scrapbook page goal and monthly spend goal. You may select 2, 3, 5, 50 pages....you choose. The idea is to be flexible so if you know you're going to be really busy, you can reduce the number one month or if you're going to a couple crops or scrap weekends, up the number. This also works for the budget. Each month, you can change your goals depending on your calendar!
The whole goal of the challenge is to get lots of pages done all the while enjoying sharing with Virtual Friends.
Are you UP for the CHALLENGE? Come and Play in the 2013 Scrapbook Challenge! Here's to Meeting our Scrapping Goals & Meeting New Friends!
We'd love to "oohh" and "aahh" over your pages so please post with key word "sbc13aug

Challenge 2013
This is where we'll have links to the Weekly Challenges! These are GREAT for Inspiration, we have Terrific Hostess and let's try to support them as much as possible!
Good thing my goal was not high for the year because somehow I'm still on track ;-). We just got back from the beach; we'd still be there but today is HS freshman orientation for DD2. We're off to go camping at Disney's Ft Wilderness next Thurs through Sun, then school starts the next Monday (8/12).
So far no job interviews though plenty of rejection letters, as a result I'm thinking about going back to school for an accounting degree. I guess when you've been a stay at home mom for 18 years your first degree becomes nu.. & void despite the years of direct sales and volunteer community leadership  . Until then, I'll keep scrapping :-).
Hard to believe it is August. We move my oldest DD, Emily, to college in 15 days! She is very excited about this next chapter in her life. I, on the other hand, am an emotional wreck. We have a new addition to our family though - a puppy! Abby is 9 weeks old and it is like we have a new baby/toddler in the house as we try to house train her. I'll have lots to scrap about though!
I am going to commit myself to 5 pages for this month.
I didn't get anything done in July and maybe 6 pages for June! I would have to go back and add up the pages I did do for the year! I was hoping to get some scrapping done over the summer, but things kept popping up. Now with school/work starting next week I hope to get back into it and get my son & youngest dd school stuff caught up so I am not scrambling like I did with my oldest . I did manage to clean up my Iphoto! I went from almost 16,000 pics to almost 11,000!! Just deleting doubles and blurries and other peoples children or 17 of 20 of the same pic. I have 2 name frames I was requested to do then I can hop back into it (after I get the house cleaned! LOL)

I am right there with you about the emotional wreck! We move our oldest in 15 days also 8-16 is move in day. I feel like this summer everything has been turned upside down.
Wow, it is August! I have no GK's going off to school yet. Kids have been out for years, although my son did graduate Magna *** Laude this summer, he had gone back to school after being out for years.
I have a couple of crops I signed up for this fall which should help me reach my yearly goal before November. I have kind of been cruising along toward that goal all year. I will keep 12 as my goal for August as school does start and after school care for the dgk's will have to be working into our/my daily schedule again.
I finished 15 pages for July.
I just noticed that part of my son's graduating status has been bleeped out!! I guess that is a questionable word!??!
Ok, for August I'm going to shoot for 12 pages! The kids go back to school in 3 weeks and I printed off almost 200 pics recently that are calling my name, so I think I can get it done, haha! (tho it might take me three weeks to get a page done...)
And for July I got 6 out of my goal of 10, and while we're discussing it, I'm only 15 away from the goal I set for the year! HOORAY for that!!

Yea for your goal closing in!!
I have pictures that are calling me to get printed!! I am working on collecting pictures the other ladies took so I can edit then have them printed at the same time.
I'll go for 11 pages this month to round me up to 60 pages by the end of Aug. I'm behind on my yearly goal of 10 pgs. a month, but that's OK! I'm still way ahead of what I probably would've done so far if it weren't for you gals!

Hello everyone!
I am still struggling to get back to scrapping regularly. I have no idea where I am for my goal for the year. I have been playing catch up and being very distracted all year. I have been on a creative roller coaster of sorts. I am addicted to tutorials and have learned many new techniques ( mostly altered stuff), however not resulting in actual scrapbooking my family photos. I am making lots of mini albums for sell and for gifts. Mostly posting on FB pages (easier from my phone).
My youngest dd is home and August is usually all about her. Cai's B-day and back to college shopping ( never mind my wedding anniversary this month) takes over. Lucky for us she has transferred to UIC much closer than Iowa.
Soooo I am setting a small goal of 4 pages. !

It's not like you're not SUPER busy being creative, Tam, just not getting so many personal pages done. Setting a manageable goal makes sense!

I can relate ... I went through this last year at this time with my youngest. What a new phase, but it was good to see him move on and he's loved it.
I'm sure your daughters will love every minute of it

I can't believe we are in August already! I managed to go above and beyond for July with my scrap pages. Not sure if I will be able to do the same for August or not. I did go to Michael's yesterday and ended up purchasing another set of Project Life (vintage travel) cards and an album. I love being able to fast scrap my pages this way!
Everyone must be out scrapping or taking pictures to scrap, I mean it can't be housework that is keeping everyone away!! Oh, thats right.......... it's back to school time! Fortunately that's when mom and dad take over with all the running and shopping for school supplies for the grand kids.
It is also a busy time for those of you that have kids going away from home to school. Me, I have been working with my pictures from Montana. I have been slow in getting them printed, then found I did not have much in the way of papers that I wanted to use (non that fit the theme) nor do I have any embellishments or die cuts that work well for white water rafting.
I did complete one page. There must be something about misting my background papers that I just can not get right!! I end up with my paper buckling and I don't like it!! Unless I do it on purpose!
Terri (3fries) will be hosting the Progressive Challenge this month (yay! ) and will post tonight. It's her first day back to work after vacation so she's got a lot goin' on!
Don't forget, everyone is welcome to give it a try!

I usually make my own and use misters. I read to use rubbing alcohol and not water so I have used that mixture and it seems to work without wrinkling

Hmmm, seems like I remember hearing that before about using alcohol, Unfortunately I have purchased a number of Glimmer mist bottles about 4 years ago and have not used them very often. I'm kind of a klutz when misting. Probably just in too much of a hurry and don't clear a big enough space before I start misting. I will have to give it ago again and see what I can do.
Lela - I'm going to try to get 31 pages done this month, as part of a 31 pages for 31 days Challenge. I'm really far behind, and this could just kick start me! This weekend will be the telling time to see if I can really do it (and yes, I'm already 6 days behind, LOL).

Haha! My husband is at the hospital tonight with our 16 yr old for a sleepover. They are checking said son's CPAP (night time ventilation) titration to make sure he's getting the best air pressure. Hubby has taken about 6 or 7 photos and texted them to me of son getting all "wired up" and ready for bed. They wire EVERYTHING...legs, arms, leads on chest, and wired for an EEG of brain activity along with leads on the face by eyelids and mouth and nose along with the pulse thingy on the finger. Not so comfy to say the least! Son is used to it (if you can get used to it), this is about number 7 or so for sleep studies!!
Anyway - hubby said the photos are for me to scrapbook ;)

The progressive challenge looks like fun, Terri! Can't wait to start--hopefully tomorrow!
I had a sleep study a few years back. Not much fun and I didn't get much "sleep!" Besides being all hooked up, I had to remain on my back and I'm just not a back sleeper! I don't envy your son.
