My UM stamps are getting out of hand I've been using CD and DVD cases but it's taking up way too much space. I want something that will close (to keep out dust and prevent things from falling out) so I don't want an open binder. I'm trying to decide between the Crafter's Companion Stamp N Stor and the Tim Holtz Stamp Binder? Anyone have either, likes, dislikes?

Now, I made my storage horizontal because that's the size of the page protectors. I've seen others do similar storage, only vertical.
There's several of us here who have kind of followed each other on their storage ideas, and I'm sure they will post too...gregzgurl and cdjksss come to mind... ;)
I have tried many ways of storing my UM stamps and have come to the conclusion that I will never have just one. Sets that come in DVD cases (like SU and Amuse) I keep in those had they go on DVD shelves I purchased at Ikea. The majority of the rest of my unmounted stamps are now in 6"x9"index card boxes and Craftologie storage boxes purchased at Joann's with 40% off coupons. I have found that I can fit the most stamps in the least amount of space with this method. If they are single stamps, or if a set that does not come on its own index page, I put them on the mini binder storage pages from Crafters companion. These then go into 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 sheet protectorsto protect them, and then into the box. I use a sharpie to write the name of the set along the top of the sheet protector so i can flip through and find what I am looking for more easily.
My Tim Holtz sets are not stored in this system. The majority of his sets come on index cards that will not fit in these boxes. I keep those sets in Tim Holtz binders - they fit perfectly and already come punched to fit the binder.
I vote for Diane's method (post #2 above). I've adapted it a bit for my own preferences, but the laminator and pouches are the best stamping/storage investment I've made EVER!

I use the clear binders from 3 ring binder, 3 ring binders, 3 binder, view binder, case binder - G12004. And I got my storage sheets from Sunday International, which I think are now being sold at Crafter's Companion. I needed a lot of the binders, so the case method was the cheapest route for me.
I agree with Joan....I don't think there will ever be one type of storage system for me. I, too, keep the sets that come in DVD cases in their cases. I also have stamps in the Univenture binders that Brenda mentioned. Luckily, a couple years ago, they were discontinuing some of the binders and were dirt cheap. I think it was $1.09 per binder. I ended up getting quite a few. I use them to store my thin dies (spellbinders, MFT, Memory Box, etc) as well (on sheets of magnets - vent covers).
I also bought several (I mean SEVERAL) of these mini 3 ring binders (heck...they're $3!!!!...

I use them to store my clear stamps....TSG, Flourishes, etc...and some individual clings. I use the 8.5 x 5.5 sheet protectors Joan mentioned so the stamps don't fall out. For the cling, they are mounted on binder panels. I was lucky enough to find someone selling a bulk of used ones (almost 200 I think) for cheap. I also order the full binder panels from Joanns when they are sale and cut them in half.
