Does anyone know how to edit these templates? I would like to add pictures and titles, but I can't figure out how to edit them....computer illiterate at times!!
Thank You!!!! I will be using these templates! I have removed all my wooden stamps from those horrid clam shells and placed them in their new homes. I won't think about how much the new SU containers cost me. I never cared for the clam shells. I had trouble opening them and they did not store neatly.
My first choice is polymer because they are so easy to line up to stamp and they take up so little space. I still like the feel of the wood mounted and the convenience of just reaching for the stamp, without selecting the block (I sound lazy!). I own many lovely wood mounted stamps and just cannot bear to unmount them all. So much work!
I was taught to take a copy of the stamp set before mounting the rubber and attaching the images to the wood block. I have taken that copy and placed it in the liner of the VHS case. With this template, I can now have a description on the spine. I was planning on breaking out the label maker this weekend, but this might work even better....and faster.
Also, I have only three sets that will not fit in the larger size so I'll break them up. There were more than a few of the sets that looked like they would fit in the smaller size but would not. I haven't been able to break up the sets, a personal issue. I saved several of the larger clam shells to store small ink pads. They're the perfect size for that.
Thanks again!

Thanks for any help!
It may depend on the version of Adobe....I simply clicked in the patterned banner and a text box appeared. Once I typed the title there, it also appeared on the spine in the correct orientation. As for the picture, I've compiled a slide presentation with pictures of all my sets using the SU galleries here (alphabetical). Most of the collections include an index card picture as the first picture. You can copy and paste that to the front of the template. Or try searching index and you will have good results.

I have the same mindset as you when it comes to unmounting. I think it is much easier to leave my wod stamps mounted. I love the new cases and now that they fit in the drawer in my stamp table, I want to put all my unmou
nted stamps in the DVD cases, even though I just organized them in page protectors!
I just printed out one for the half size and the size is wonky. I can make it work, but I thought the markings and size of the spine would be right on, and they are not. Anyone else having this same experience?

Are you sure you have the paper turned the right way? I thought the large case one wasn't right until I realized I had it turned wrong. I have printed them out and cut at the black lines and they are all perfect!
Kathy, thanks! I had it lined up incorrectly. Now the spine and one side is perfect and I still have room to leave the copy of the images. PERFECT! Now I know what I'll be doing this weekend;)
I was so excited that I finished the project. They all look so lovely on my shelf!
Since I was so silly with the lining up comment, I'm not sure if I want to add this...but here goes. On the Full Size case, when I added in the number of stamps in the set, the format went to the half size case. Very odd. I closed out the PDF file without saving and then opened it up again, typed in the name of the set without the number of stamps and all printed out lovely. This makes no sense, and I'm sure I did something, I just thought I would make this confession in case someone else has the same experience.

I didn't have anything like that happen....but glad you got yours done! I need more cases. I ordered one set that will be in soon, but will need several more sets.

Thank you, I figured out my computer was opening it with Microsoft reader and not adobe.
I can edit the titles. I can't copy and paste into the big blank white space, do you know if that is possible? Thank you!
Sorry to be a pest......is anyone able to convert the pdf to a word document? I see that the templates for the DVD cases have been converted to word, so it got me thinking that maybe someone could do the same for the wood mount cases. I hope so, I am planning on organizing all my stamps (wood) into the wood mount cases.
I'm hoping my system at work is able to convert pdf to word, but I thought I'd put it out here in case someone can do it.
So how do I find pictures of the stamp sets from SU that I can copy and paste onto those case inserts? I tried a copy and paste from SU website, but the image is faded when I do it that way.

For Example
I googled "images Stampin UpA Fitting Occasion". Then a lot of images appear and I pick one. Then I save it to "My Documents". On the SU insert, (which is in Word Document) I go to "Insert" at the top of the page and then go choose my image, place my cursor where I want it, click insert and it will appear on the front of your SU insert. Sounds confusing but is quite easy once you get the hang of it. I'm a little challenged at the computer but I can do this. I will try my best to attach a copy here but not sure I can do it.
I did it!!!! I also used it for everything else...(as you can see by the example)....hope this helps you.

Reason: Need to insert a file
I am just the opposite. I love the new boxes the wood stamps are coming in. I want to use them for my stamping accessories. I am buying the new wood stamp sets and switching them into the old clam shell boxes and using the new boxes to other projects.
Gail, your template worked perfectly!!! Thank you so much. I just did a practice print out and was able to copy a picture from the web, and I love how you can put a smaller image on the side so you can see the stamps from the side too! Thank you for this!!

I'm so glad it is working for you....The picture on the side can be rotated 90 degrees which I do for my inserts.....aren't these great!!!
I have used these inserts on everything in my room....even in my DVD cases....I just made the spine of the insert a little narrower but it works perfectly in those cases too. If it's not a Stampin' Up product, I use my Precious Moments emblem "Praise the Lord Anyhow" (a little girl at her desk). Love organizing!

Yes, I was able to rotate the little picture on the side, which I loved! I am a super organizer so this was just what I needed!
