There are lots of poor, lonely SU stamp sets in the gallery that don't have an INDEX CARD. An index card shows at the beginning of each gallery to show all of the stamps that belong to that stamp set. Of course, SU keeps releasing more sets (which we love) which means we are always looking for volunteers to make new index cards!
So, What can you do to help?
Look over the list below and decide if you have any of the stamp sets. If you do, post to this thread which stamp sets you'd be willing to make an index card. I will post to this thread to confirm that you have been assigned the sets you want to do (to make sure there are no duplicate efforts by all of you). Go and make your best card front with each image in your stamp sets and upload the images to the special collection "Index Gallery". Then post to this thread to tell the mods that you have uploaded index cards for your stamp sets (please list them). The mods will then move the card to the appropriate set gallery and make it so that it is no longer in your personal gallery. Your
artwork will then be forever more the first image in that set's gallery--a little immortality and a little personal pride knowing you have helped SCS!
The list below contains the new stamp sets and some older ones that we still need index cards. If there is a name by the set, then there is a volunteer already for that set. NOTE: The latest list is below.
PM or post here if you have questions. I know a lot of you have helped in the past with this ongoing project--please consider helping again. Thanks, in advance, for helping make this project a successful part of the SCS gallery!

Just looked through the list quick before heading off to a New Years Eve party, but I may have some of the Spanish sets. I will look closer tomorrow. Just wanted to subscribe to this so I wouldn't lose where it was!

I'm not sure if I understand what an index card is---so I need to clarify before signing up. Is an index card mean make a card front using every stamp in the set? And not just stamping them on a piece of paper but making it look like a card? Is that correct? Please help me understand and then I will see what I have and if I can help. I am still rather new so am not the most creative or whatever yet.
Really?! Can you give a name of one of the SU sets without a gallery? I'd like to check it out. Thanks!
Hope you don't mind if I chime in here, but I know of a few sets that do not have an index or gallery. They are:
Wishing Well
Holiday Helpers
Santa's Elves
Best Witches
Stitched Snowman
I can make you index cards if you would like, just let me know. The only set I have on the list you have posted above is Bear Hugs. I can make an index card of that set if you like.
I am so glad this is happening! I wish I had some of those sets, but, I don't. I really do not buy a set anymore if I cannot see what has happened here from all the creative geniuses! I am thankful for the update.

Your index card can either be just a simple piece of cardstock with all the images stamped on it, or you can get creative and create a "card". The only real restriction is that you can use ONLY those images/sentiments from that one set - and you must use them ALL.
Here is a link to all the index cards out there now - you'll see quite a variety. Gallery Indexes
Make A Monster index card is done. I hope I uploaded it correctly. I tagged it with "Index Gallery" and "Make A Monster." Let me know if it's not done correctly and I'll re-do whatever you need me to.
This was really a fun card to work on. And it challenged me, because I don't have much in the way of embellishements, so I had to get creative to make it "worthy" of the Index Gallery. I hope you like it and it's up to SCS standars for an Index Card!

Weird! I'll have message the mods about these...
Thanks for volunteering for Bear Hugs!

Carolyn, hopefully you can find some sets on the list!
Well I didn't have any of the Spanish sets (SHUCKS!) but I do have Fast and Fabulous and Simple Serif Mini Alphabet so I can do those two if you would like.
Is there a time restriction? I have a crazy week getting kids back to school and a birthday party right away. I will do it, just not sure if it will be this week.
There are quite a lot of older sets pre-dating SCS starting which don't have galleries.
We've been working on it and a whole lot of new galleries were created recently, where there were more than just one or two cards to move into the gallery - I am sure LaLatty noticed some of her cards being moved in ;).

Any chance you could send me a list of the new galleries added so I can add them to the index list?
Thanks!

No time limit, just happy you're able to do fast and Fabulous and the Simple Serif Mini Alpha. Thanks!

Here's the ones I have that don't have galleries...as far as I know. I last checked about a month ago.
All that Jazz
Anytime Greetings
Cherries Checks and Posies
Christmas Cardinals (yes...this is different than Christmas Cardinal)
Little by Little
Udderly Moovelous
Fruity Phrases (could be included with Fruit medley)
Wonderful Wishes
Musical Score BG
Speckle BG
Fun Fillers
Borders Mini
Celtic wheel
Makin Music wheel
Many Mittens wheel
Pindot wheel
Star Spangled wheel
Star Studded wheel
Swirling Leaves wheel
I think that's all...
In fact, I think that I made index cards for several of these back when we first started doing index cards. They used to appear at the bottom of the page where the galleries were listed. They don't seem to be there any more.

I have actually had some of my cards from the sets in the last post that were moved out of the place they were (admittedly they didn't really belong there but that's where they were put years ago) and put into my members gallery. Some of them are sets that I have 3-5 cards just in my gallery for particular sets. Christmas Cardinals comes to mind.
There are index cards that have been made that don't have galleries. Example: Little Cardinals.
Shouldn't those index cards show up at the bottom of the page where they would be if they had a gallery? I sure would like to see those index cards, even if they don't have a gallery.

Also, add to the above list:
Quilted Quotes
We were doing a big gallery tidy-up and trying to move out sets that weren't specifically uploaded into the right set listing. Where there was a suitable technique, they were moved there, if no technique was listed or obvious, they went into member galleries.
I'll pass on that list of sets you have compiled so far.
