NY Stampers Get Together
Saturday, August 24, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Do join us at our next New York Stampin' Get Together -- a full day of stamping fun!
Cost – $20.00 per person. Your registration must be paid no later than 5 pm on July 26. Mail your registration form and payment to me (info is in the registration form). There are no refunds, but you may offer your spot to someone else. Here’s what’s planned.
Mandatory Shoebox (Table) Project – There will be table projects in the morning and the afternoon, so bring your idea and all the supplies (precut but not prestamped or prepunched) needed for making your project with your tablemates in the morning. Since this is such a small group, we will do a second project for the afternoon. PLEASE prep 10 for the morning of one design and then 10 for the PM in a different design. IF you have already cut the paper, please find another stamp set to use on the second set.
Please use quality products. When our final count is in, you will know the table sizes and how many will be needed. You will need to bring three extra completed shoebox projects (which includes hostess thank you, one for the church and one for your table so that everyone can follow it for directions). This project will generally be a full card, with layers and embellishment(s). Please provide any special adhesive that's needed. So, just to say it another way: Bring 3 completed projects + make up 20 packets of materials needed to make your project. Extra parts to fix any "oops" should also be provided. Make these something you’d be thrilled to get yourself. Your projects should all be the same.
SPECIAL NOTE: Because you will be switching tables, but your projects staying behind, it will be important that you provide some basic directions for your project unless it is VERY obvious. Please include your name and SCS name as well. Thank you!
Swaps – ALL SWAPS ARE OPTIONAL. You’ll know how many to make when we post the final counts, and you’ll have plenty of notice since the deadline is well in advance of the event.

Food – Please indicate on the registration sheet the specific food item you will bring to share. Please don’t just say “food” or “whatever you need”. Ideas: breakfast items, lunch items, including salads, desserts and snacks. We love to try your homemade food specialties! Bottled water and coffee will be provided. Please BYO soda.
Make & Take for All – Because of doing shoebox projects in the a.m. and p.m., we will have only one or two large group projects. If you would like to provide one, please let me know your idea.
Door Prizes– Donations from our own group are most welcome so let me know if you’d like to make a door prize donation and what it is. Our participants are always so generous!
Gift Swap – You don’t have to sign up for this one, but if you would like to participate, bring a gift related to our stamping passion. Everyone who brings a gift to swap will also leave with one. Value on these should be in the $5-10 range, and stamped projects are always appreciated! If it’s something you’d like to take home, it’s probably perfect! Be sure to include your name somewhere inside so the lucky winner knows who to thank. Wrap it up prettily to encourage “stealing”. REMEMBER: Stamping-related!!!
Other – Please bring your own labeled items for your personal stamping needs, including your favorite adhesive. These are the items you just can’t stamp without, like: bone folder, paper cutter/scorer, scissors, straight edge, stamp cleaner and whatever else you can't stamp without! Did I say adhesive????? Adhesive! You will likely need lots of it.
Make and wear a nametag with your name and your SCS name so that we know you on sight. There will be a nametag contest so keep that in mind when you’re creating yours.

REMEMBER: Complete the registration form and forward with your $20 payment by 5 pm February 6. All funds collected will be spent on the event. Your registration is complete when your payment is received. If you have any questions, please ask! Looking forward to seeing you in February.
because our group is small we will be prepping 2 different shoeboxes, one for morning and one for the afternoon. I also am planning a group project I hope you like. We may be able to fit at one table and have a great part all day!!!!
No hurry! My schedule is pretty busy until after July 4th weekend and then I have VBS stuff to get ready for at church. So, if I don't have numbers, I don't feel the pressure to have to get them done too early.
