Default skin color markers

I don't own copics but I do own the zig markers and other brands, what is a good marker for skin tones? I am needing a color that is light, not a tan color? I have several different skin tone shades in my colored pencil stash but need a go to marker.

I really would like to stay away from the copics since the price is too high for my blood.
Thanks for all the help!
Mary

Are you looking for alcohol markers, or water-based?

I would recommend the Pale Hues set of Spectrum Noir markers. They're alcohol markers but much less expensive than Copics.

I guess it doesn't matter. Like I said, I own marvy, tombo and zig markers. I was hoping to find something in all these that I own, but ...no luck. I guess I will check into the spectrum set at joanns with a coupon. My friend has these and they are nice. I just didn't want to get sucked into the copic frenzy. I can't bring myself to spend so much on markers! I know they are nice and blend well, but ....Thanks for the help

Reason I asked... the markers that you have now are water-based, and alcohol markers work differently. If you're wanting to use them together with something you already have, that might be frustrating. If your budget is more conservative and you're just wanting to try out alcohol markers or get a feel for the blending, many crafters are happy with the Spectrum markers. I use Touch Twin markers, which are an artist quality marker, at a lower price point than Copics. Lots of lower-cost alternatives out there! I'm not a trend-frenzy person either! Find what works best for you.

I second what Kate said about the Spectrum Noir markers, I have them and LOVE them! Their flesh tones are really nice.
