Enabler alert! Sizzix is having 75% off sale on their website. I got the Daisy Die for $5 and other products...embossing folders for $2.75. Just wanted to spread the word.

Yeah, one of my girlfriends and I went in on a $200 order together this morning and the shipping came to $16.50. Considering how much we'd pay even if we found a "normal" good deal, I didn't blink an eye.
How did I miss this? Just placed my order and you are right. I was able to purchase everything I wanted for less than two items would have cost me before. Many thanks.
I ordered my dies on Thursday morning. There were over 400 dies and/or cartridges on sale then and it look like their sale page has 427 on sale now. I can't remember the exact number when I ordered, though. Maybe some have sold out? It's kind of interesting because the email I got from Sizzix on Wednesday before the sale started had the graphic worded a bit differently - using the word "selected". I wonder if they goofed and sent a rejected draft out to some but not others. I saved so much money on what I bought, I'm content. I'm moving to Canada in about a month and a half where I won't be able to order directly from Sizzix, and I can't take advantage of the upcoming online Warehouse Sale because Scrapbooking Made Simple won't start shipping orders until the day after I move. This was a very pleasant and most welcome surprise for me.
I have been watching their hexagon 1.25 and 1.5 inch dies for months. Of course they were sold out by the time I went to order. If anyone has a set they don't want please let me know. Are they discontinuing these sale items after the sale is over? Just wondering if I need to start watching again.
I guess the shipping was based on the pre-discount amount? I only ordered a few (3)things and my shipping was $8.25. Pretty flat stuff to charge so much. Oh well... I don't know if it's just my computer but I had a terrible time on the website. Pages wouldn't load, etc. I had to log out and in and eventually restart my computer. I'm sure it's volume of users but surely they could have anticipated that. Anyone else have a problem?

Reason: add comment.
Surely these are not being discontinued. I thought they were most likely changing packaging or following this sale with a price increase. What do you think?

Reason: error
I'm moving soon and I've been packing up some of my steel rule dies. I'm having to pack them in the same, small boxes as my books because they are quite heavy. The weight really snuck up on me. I can see why most shipping companies that do flat rate pricing usually have some kind of a maximum weight restriction per package.
I called Sizzix about the shipping, since they'd always had free shipping for orders over $99.99 and my order was well over that amount. I was told they're discontinuing free shipping. :( This sale was the first time I've ever paid for shipping on sizzix.com.
When I placed my first order, there were 24 pages of items. When I placed my second order, there were 19 pages. I figured they pulled items that were out of stock. Apparently, they also added items at some point.
I had to place two orders because I was using multiple gift cards and sizzix.com only allows one gift card per order. (I bought a number of $200 gift cards during the holidays when they were on sale for $150 and came with a set of Framelits.) First order was $303 and I paid $19.50 shipping. Second order was $187 and shipping was $14.50. (When I had $105 in the cart, I noticed shipping was $12.50.)
Considering the items were 75% off and my gift cards were 25% off, I didn't mind paying to ship two orders, but under normal circumstances, $35 shipping would make me cringe. However, a $500 order of mostly dies (which was really $2000 worth of product at their MSRP) does weigh a lot...
I usually wait for the 30% off site-wide sales and stay at $100 or $200 because of the gift card issue and (the now defunct) free shipping at $100, but shipping will now eat about 10% of orders in that price range.

The graphic in my email didn't say "selected." It just specified that the dies were pre-2013. I placed both my orders on 7/4, when I received the email.

Here's a list of what I found on the Sizzix website, when you click on the shipping label. They now ship via FedEx, I wonder if that was always the case? Somehow I remember them shipping UPS
Contiguous U.S.
Order Total S & H Charge
$00.00-$30.99 $8.25
$31.00-$60.99 $9.25
$61.00-$99.98 $10.50
$100.00-$149.99 $12.50
$150.00-$199.99 $14.50
$200.00-$299.99 $16.50
Over $300.00 $19.50
Most Sizzix Machines include an additional $5.00 shipping and handling surcharge.
I placed my order on 7/4...any idea how quick or slow they are in their shipping? I figure with such a good sale it will probably take forever to get my order. Can you tell I'm anxious to get my new toys?
Usually, they are very fast in processing orders, Pammy. I placed mine on the 4th and it's still "in process". This is the 11th order I've made with them and the longest processing time. That said, I had resigned myself to a longer wait time because I am sure nearly 75% of Americans that own a Sizzix took advantage of this sale, LOL. The one good thing about it for me is that I am in Oregon and once it gets into Fedex's hot little hands, it gets here fast.

Some friends on another list got ship notices today.
I was up bright and early on the 4th and tried to place my order but their website or my computer were not playing nice with me and I couldn't get signed into their site. Finally got logged in around noon.
It's good to hear that they are starting to send out ship notices..maybe will get mine today.
Here's the link to the shipping info: https://www.sizzix.com/shipntrack Normally it takes 5-7 BUSINESS days to process. Today (the 10th) is the 4th business day since the sale began.
I am getting a little nrevous here..ordered on the 4th and have not heard a word from them. When is it time to go into panic mode? If for some reason I couldn't get all the goodies I ordered I would be devastated.
Did you get an order confirmation email after you placed the order? Have you checked your account to see if it still says Processing?
I placed two orders the morning of 7/4 and have not heard anything after the confirmation emails. My account says they're still in processing. They were large orders, but they were placed early on the first day of the sale and, considering some folks have already received a shipping notice or even their items, I hope I get every item on my order. My worry is that the small orders were fulfilled first and gotten out of the way, while the larger orders were set back and will be done when they're feeling less rushed.
That said, I've placed dozens of orders with Sizzix and Ellison and don't remember ever not receiving every item (no backorders or out of stocks). They do tend to be a bit slower than most other companies, in my experience.

Well, Fedex apparently tried to deliver an hour ago and no one answered the door. It was still estimated for Saturday delivery when I went to bed last night, so naturally I was not prepared with a note on the door. We were up - I really don't think they knocked particularly loudly and this apartment has no doorbell. Typical Fedex.
Now I remember why I had Sizzix orders come to my previous place of employment - no excuses for Fedex. Which reminds me... if you've never had a package from Ellison/Sizzix before, you should know that signature is required. You can leave them a note about neighbors, knocking harder, waiting the exact time it takes to get to the door, but I've never been able to convince them to just leave the package. Perhaps the Fedex people elsewhere are less stringent in their duties, but not even a signed note will convince them here. (which is about the only thing I like about UPS)
