Default SU scallop edge punch - new version?

I bought the scallop edge punch from SU a few years ago. It has almost always given a raggedy edge when it cuts. Is there a new version of it, as I know the other punches have changed in style? If there's a new version, does anyone have an opinion on it? (I've never had much success with trying to sharpen punches with aluminium foil, so I may just bite the bullet and buy a new punch or maybe a scallop edge die cut). Thanks.

Yes, there is a scallop punch in the new style. But I don't have one.

My older version is raggedy like yours so I'd like to know whether the new one punches any better.

I replaced my old messed-up style scallop border punch a couple of years ago with a new slim style one. It cuts better, but the cutting area is shorter with fewer scallops so you have to line everything up more. That's where I always mess up with border punching so I now use border dies.

I had that first border punch just over a year and it wasn't used a lot. But one day a couple of the scallops just refused to cut! Tried all the sharpening methods, etc, and gave up.

Mine has always cut raggedy as well...I always thought I was the only one. That stinks that the new style one is different, is the scallop border die different still? Or is it the same as the new punch?

I have only used the new scallop punch. I had trouble lining up the scallops with the printed base. They always had a tiny peak between scallops every place where I moved the punch.

Then I found that my scallops only line up on the left side of the base as I have the front of the punch facing me.
So I must start my edge with the actual punch at the end of the paper and move it to the left as I punch. I cut a longer piece of CS to allow for where I must start it

If I move the CS to the right then the scallops are messed up
