For those of you have blogs and follow blogs in Google Reader, have you heard the news in the past week or so that Google is ending Google Reader in July this year? This means you will need to find another similar product to Google Reader for your blog followers to follow your blog - and for yourself to follow blogs.
Have you tried Feedly? I like it and it shows up as an app in my Google Chrome. It is pretty similar to Reader, and you can import your Reader stuff to it so you don't loose any stared posts. I was sad too, but this made it a little easier
I initially tried NetVibes but I found it a little difficult to understand (I am not very good with learning new things so it's not them - it's me!). I joined Feedly about a week ago and gradually getting to grips with it. It seems very user-friendly so far. Most people seem to be going with Feedly and I have only heard good things about it. Some of my blogging friends are going with Blog Lovin' but I don't know much about it.
I went with several others for a few weeks and saw on one blog where the owner was transferring all of her to Bloglovin...so I looked at it and liked it...that's where my feeds are now....tranfering from google reader is a snap...just click on the 'upload' button.
Feedly does seem to be very popular and it's great that the people behind Feedly are making the transition from Google Reader very simple and easy which is a great help to someone like me who struggles understanding new things. I wonder how you will know how many people follow your blog through Feedly and if there will be a counter or something you can add to your blog like the Google thingy that I already have on my blog?
Glad you were able to find one that works for you...that is the goal, right? I'll look at feedly and its components....guess one thing I like right now about bloglovin is that I receive an email each day that has only a short reveal of what was posted that day...then I don't have to scroll thru the feed itself to see what's new as I don't get to 'check' it everyday...and you know how those feeds can get accumulated really fast....sometimes housework and meal prep still has to be done. UGH! Have a great day.

How would you locate the 'old reader'? Just wish the new one had not been discontinued. Still using blogloving, although I use Feed Reader a little bit. Feed Demon is the lite version....still, decisions, decisions....i'm like some of you in not liking to have to find a new 'reader'.
