WELCOME TO TEAPOT TUESDAY MMTPT253

& THE SISTERHOOD OF THE TRAVELING TEAPARTY for June 4, 2013

Come and listen to a story about a horse named Dot
don't call her a Dalmatian because of all her spots.
Well the first thing you know our Dot's become a mare,
and here comes her foal trotting down the thoroughfare.

She's a proud and happy Mother
A loving nurturer like no other
She's a fine example of an Appaloosa
smart, agile and hardy can I get a Hallelujah?

Then Sadie that gossiping, nosey old Nag
pulled up her head from her feed bag
"Isn't that foal a solid color? oh, I do declare."
"Hey stop it, don't you know it's impolite to stare?"
"But, he's just one color devoid of any spots
and as an Appaloosa he should have dots!"

"Now don't be such a busybody snob
we don't want Dot to start to sob."
Just then the sky darkened and the thunder roared
and the skies opened up & it began to pour.

Rain that is and lots of it.

That adorable foal was getting washed clean
his hidden spots could now easily be seen.

This little colt loves to roll and play in the mud
just wait till he's a stallion cause he will be a stud!

And now this is the end of our happy little story
just remember spots on an Appaloosa are obligatory.




Challenge Translation:

Alas.............I have no horse stamps, stickers, die cuts or anything. So my spotted cow will have to do. And of course it is a brown spotted cow, because I have herefords, and hereford stamps are impossible to find, my cows are always stamped in brown And this cow came prepared for the rain sporting her rain boots!!

I was able to recycle an image rescued from an older card that never got sent to its intended recipient. I reworked it to fit the farm theme a bit better and added a sheep and some Scripture on the inside so I get an extra cookie .

If any of you are as amazed at Susie's step cards and think they should try one, DON'T! I am always awed at the detail and complexity of her wonderful creations but never more than today. You guessed it, I tried. I'm not going to say I failed at it but it took me a long long time. Susie, I'm going to tell you in the comments again but, you are amazing. It's hard to see the 3 steps, but they are there. HERE is my card.

I had a trip to the ER yesterday and narrowly escaped admittance to the hospital. I am so sorry but I will not be able to comment this week. I appreciate each and every comment you leave for me.

Thank you to all you special ladies making cards for Jesse. You will be making his days happier by receiving all your lovely cards. He hangs his cards that I've been sending him in his motorcycle shop & customers just love looking at them. He just had some bad news given to him today, this is what he had to say about his cancer. Well after being in the hospital for a month I just call a call from my Cancer Doctor telling me that I no longer will be part of the clinical trial for my rare cancer. The rules are you can`t be off the clinical drug for more than 21 days. That means I no longer will be getting the Chemo drug that kept me alive for the last 2 years. I guess I will leave it up to God only from now on. Some times I believe the drug companies do not want to find a cure for cancer.

He told me that the Teapotters are special people for sending out their handmade cards. I can't wait until he starts receiving them from all of us, his shop will be filled with them.

Hi Ladies,
I am sorry I have been missing from TPT for a while. I had to make an emergency trip to VA. My daddy passed away on Memorial Day. I was able to make it down and be with him in his last hours. When he passed, I was holding his hand and talking to him. It's been a hard last ten days. I am home now and trying to get back into the groove. I don't know if I will get this one done or not, but I will definitely be back on track for next week.
