Pastor Michelle is a really wonderful person - she is busy getting their huge community garden ready from which they provide fruits and veg to anyone who needs them. They were just donated 2 bee hives and hope to offer honey soon. She works tirelessly both for the Church she is pastor of and the homeless shelter.
They are in the process of building a brand new shelter which will also have s specific area for pets - many homeless people will not go to shelters because they don't want to leave their pet (often their only source of companionship) so this is going to be really wonderful for them.
Teresa...when you say leave the inside of the card blank...do you mean No message? Is it OK to add a plain copy of an image from the front (uncolored)...or should nothing be added to the inside?

blank meaning "no personal message"...I decorate the inside of my cards, adding strips of paper at the bottom or you could add a simple coordinating sentiment. I hope this helps, let me know if you have any other questions.

Such a great weekend! Was able to spend time with friends, work outside in the yard, enjoy time with the fur-babies and hubby, AND make 16 cards to send to May's Cards for a Cause! Wish all weekends were like this! :p
Excellent cause!
{hugs}
Maggie

HI! On my lunch time and thought to dive into SCS and explore. Guess what? I found you all! I have never done anything like this and would love to have a purpose to make cards. Unfortunately with work, time is limited to play. Nevertheless, I know you are here and waiting. I am now motivated!
While I'm here, I might as well ask... Charitable organizations soliciting donations send greeting cards with their solicitations. I hate to throw them away nor have I found a need to use them. I've collected them all and would like to give them to someone who can appreciate and make use of them. Can I send these initially to the cause?

hi Chary, so glad you joined us! To answer your question, since we make handmade cards, your cards should really have handmade elements. You could give them to an organization in your area though, great idea!

Hello Teresa & All you splitcoasters! I have been AWOL for several weeks and apologize. Cannot let the month go without sending some cards, so I'm hoping to get at least 15 out in the mail by the end of this week. And since Pastor Michelle is so hard at work at the community garden, I may just find a few seed packets to tuck in the package. Love the fact that the new shelter will have room for pets! She sounds like my kind of woman! Thank you to Ms Bree for sponsoring such a worthwhile cause!

A note from Pastor Michelle - I asked her if she had started recieving the cards yet and here is what she wrote....
Michelle L Perry
Oh yes they HAVE!! It is wonderful. I do not have a total count yet, but it has been amazing. The director of St. Anne's is simply over welmed by the whole thing. I have even sent out dozens of the cards to those who have made contibutions to St. Anne's whether it has been food, clothing, service, or money. I can't thank you enough for letting me know about this. Blessings upon blessing to you and all those who are so caring to send so many wonderful cards.
What a lovely note! Why do I have to be at work today instead of at home making cards for this wonderful cause??? Why can't my boss understand??? I have 12 ready to go so far but have increased my goal to 20 by the end of the week! Here is one incorporating the polka dot challenge. More in my gallery.
We will be making cards for our own personal use and cards for the Ronald McDonald Houses too. I will add Pastor Michelle to our list of projects to do over 3 fun days of stamping!
