Default Have you tried the new Wink of Stella Brush?

I like it. It reminds me of a mascara but it gives just enough glitter where you want it. It brushes on.

I found it at the Stampers Alley in Mooresville, NC

I've seen these online, but winced a little at the price - so - what are your thoughts? did you feel it was a good value for the price?

So far I really like it. It would be a lot better if you could use a coupon but my LSS doesn't take coupons. It comes out very easy and it dries really quick. I need to use it more to see if I like it. I am a huge stickles fan but it takes so long to dry.

Thanks for letting us know! I think the product name is adorable! One day maybe I'll get the clear one to try.

Default Tried one

I just recently picked up a yellow one at the recommendation of a store employee. It was very easy to use, and added a nice touch of shine. I liked the ease of use and the brush. I may pick up a few more. The price was a bit high, but I think I will only need a few of these.

My LSS only had the clear one in and that's the one I got.

I find when I use stickles, I always grab for clear also so I am thinking 1 pen is good for me .

That looks like fun! I love my stickles so this would be a great addition!

I absolutely love these! I have the gold, clear, blue, the 2 greens and the 2 pinks. The gold and the clear are my favorites. The dark pink is more to my taste than the pink. Beautiful shimmer and so easy to apply - the brushed line goes on perfectly. Gorgeous shimmer! Love the look when brushed on the edges of flower petals. Marker Supply seems to have the best price on these.

I saw these on, I think, a Jennifier McGuire video and it looked easy with terrific results.

I just checked Marker Supply and these come in two types: brush tip or the 8mm fine tip.

Which type do you use and prefer? Thanks for sharing

You'll want the brush tip

Well, I got the Wink of Stella brushes and these are going to be one of my 'go to' and 'fave' inks when I want to add glimmer.

Compared to all of the products that I have that add glimmer, Wink of Stella yields what I think is the most beautiful and smooth and fluid, artsy, shimmering result - it is stunning. It gives me the effect that I have tried for years to get with my stardust glitter pen but could never achieve; I always got line marks when using my Stardust pen to anything other than a small area. I'll still use my Stardust pen for small area applications, but Wink of Stella has expanded my glimmer universe.

I brushed the clear Wink of Stella over some of the Hero Arts neon inks that I had swiped across paper and it was a real 'wow' factor. I have some projects in the not-too-distant future and Wink of Stella will be in there somewhere, somehow.

You really only need the clear if you want to splurge on this WONDERFUL product. It is so quick and easy and sparkly to use that is is worth the $6.50 I paid for it. I bought the clear and the blue...have used the clear lots more. I'm thinking about getting yellow and orange for sun colors if I have an online store discount coupon.

I tried both, and I love the brush tip. The only problem is that I won't pay that much money for a marker, glitter or otherwise. Period. I guess I'll have to stick with my super-fine glitter and a glue pen until someone comes out with a less expensive version.

i bought the clear and the silver wink of Stella, but in several ocassions the clear pen has changed the color of my paper where I applied it to opaque, like it eats the color. I first I thought it was just my Type of cardstock, But I just applied it over a flower outline I stamped on vellum cardstock and it changed the area to opaque too. Then my silver one seems to color too much even when I applY lightly. Is anyone else experiencing this problem? I am about to toss these pens away.

What places (any online options?) carry? Also, what stores carry? I realize Stampin Up carries but at the moment I don't have an order and am not going to pay a ba-jillion dollars for shipping a pen or two. Thx!

I order mine from Ellen Hutson for $6.50. Whenever I'm doing an order with EH I throw one or two into my cart. SU is currently out of stock and ETA has not been published yet. I think I remember reading in another thread here that Michaels carry them.

I buy mine with a coupon at Michael's.

I haven't colored the wink directly on cardstock so I haven't seen a color change.

I also have the Spectrum Noir glitter pens that are very similar to the Winks and I like them. They have a heavier richer color and are a nice compliment to my collection.
