Default Elaborate Card Tutorial - Thanks SCS!

I recently made this card Most Elaborate Card I've Ever Made WT426 by karjor with the SU Dress Up framelits for a dear friend and was overwhelmed by all the views, favoriting, and especially the wonderful comments I received in my gallery. Since many of you spoke of how hard it would be to make, I decided to make a free tutorial to say thanks to SCS! I have been papercrafting for less that 2 years, and have learned so much from all of you amazing crafters (and my awesome sister who has got me hooked on the card making!).

Please enjoy, and post here if you make one. While it took me a while to make, it was mostly the ideas, the figuring out, and the measuring, so I bet you can do it much more quickly with instructions.

BTW, the recipient loved the card and absolutely appreciated everything that went into it.- she is eminently-handmade card-worthy.

Your card is just gorgeous! Wow-is all I can say. Don't you just love it when you give a handmade card to someone who 'knows' all the thought, time and love that went into the making of a special card just for them?

I am lucky to have friends and family that appreciate the cards and special items I make for them and save them and show others. My grand-niece has, from a young age, known to open Auntie's card envelope very carefully!

Will download your PDF instructions and wait for someone's special day. Thank you so much for sharing.

Wow, you are beyond kind for going to so much trouble to write this tutorial. I commented on your amazing card when I saw it in the gallery, I am even more gobsmacked at getting a close up of everything that went into it. TFS!!!!

Karen, thank YOU! I really appreciate the time (and work) you put into providing this step-by-step. Your card is fabulous and I only hope, if I attempt it, that mine will turn out half as nice :-)

Hands-down, this has to be the prettiest card I've ever seen. I'm seriously going to try to make this for my lovely d-i-l for her birthday.

I'm getting ready to tackle a diorama and I was feeling a bit overwhelmed until I saw your card - WHOA!!! You have given me strength to carry on - what you did was SO much more complicated that what I'm undertaking - outstanding!!! And thanks for helping me to see what magnificence can be accomplished with some dedication, inspiration, determination and patience

Thank you to all of you!

In the comments on my card in the gallery (which are up to 6 pages - wow and thanks everyone!) someone just said they are being denied access to the tutorial in the first post of this thread. Is anyone else having that problem, or does anyone know why? I don't have any trouble seeing it, so I don't know what to fix. - Thanks, Karen

Default If you can't open the pdf . .

Another person had difficulty accessing this tutorial, although when I checked, I have no problem opening it. In case there is a problem with the pdf in post 1, here is another copy. If it does not work for you, PM me with your email and I will send a copy directly to you.

Wow........this is beautiful. I ended up buying 2 framelits, as I used this for mother's day cards, and could have used another set to cut out the dresses faster. thank you for sharing this tutorial with us.

Thanks so much for your tutorial. I had found the directions previously in this thread and made one of my own. I don't think I ever uploaded it to SCS, so I did it now. Here's a link to my card: Paper Doll Dressing Room_lb by Clownmom - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers

It was a fun project, and I'm grateful for your directions.

Wow, that is the "most elaborate card" I've ever seen! That was very very kind of you to create a PDF for others to download. This is one of the great things I love about Stampin Up, once you've spent a few years collecting all the punches etc., its very rewarding to find something to make with all those supplies when you find something with that amazing "wow" factor! Thank you just doesn't seem like enough, but thank you so much for your generosity!

Holy cow! This deserves a gazillion pages of kudoes!

No-see you need to come to my house to teach me this! LOLOLOL I will never be able to follow all those directions...but that doesnt mean everyone wont.

I am still working on simple stuff.

You should think about making those to sell. That is a card I would pay $10 bucks for vs the fake "handmade" stuff I see in the stores. I dont even know if that would be enough for your time although it might go faster now for you.

Some people have had trouble with accessing the file in message #1 of this thread. I put another version of the tutorial in message #17. Hopefully that one works. I am able to open both copies on my Mac, so I'm not sure what the problem is. Sorry, and welcome to Splitcoast! Thanks for looking at my card.
