So what was Stampin up thinking
They moved a lot of the in colors to the subtles collection. I already have all those in color markers as I am sure a lot of other people do to. Alls I need is soft sky and you cannot purchase is by itself. What is everyone else going to do? Will you purchase the whole marker set of 10 just to get that one marker?

I have many gaps in my markers + some that are very old so my decision has yet to be made. However, here's a product (not available through SU to my knowledge but I have seen it at Michael's and many online vendors) that let's you make a marker with reinkers. It has lots of other uses too and is fairly inexpensive. I'm including a few links:
From the mfr.'s website:
Tsukineko high quality inks and inkpads for your crafting projects
This link has a pictorial (although most did not display for me) and a video (which I did not watch):
All That Scraps Blog: How To: Fantastix Coloring Tool
I hope this reply is helpful.
Happy Crafting!

Seems like they should also be offering the new colors as a variety pack WITHOUT the ink pads too.....

Yep, I agree. You can get the smoky slate separately, but not soft sky. I'm a bit miffed over that one. Maybe if enough people say something, they'll do a special offer for that one. ?

What were they thinking with the hexagon punch being much bigger than the honeycomb embossing folder? For months, everyone has wanted a punch to fit the folder, they make one, and it doesn't fit. Really disappointed on that one!!!

It's going to be weird for me to have the paper, pad and reinker for a color and no marker but, thankfully, it's a color I don't much care for so I should be able to live without it. It's too bad you can't order it individually, though, for those who love Soft Sky.

I wish they did. I'd bite the bullet and get the new marker kit, even though I have more than half the markers already, if I could get a multi paper pack as well.

This particular issue has no bearing on me at all, since I NEVER use dye-ink markers, but I can sympathize with those of you who do. What I'M waiting for is alcohol-based markers that match the inks and papers!!!

It would be nice if SU! could join with Copic and have special sets made in their colors.

Or SN as they'd be less expensive AND increase the SN line.

I know, I'm scratching my head over their marker decisions! I have 7 markers of the "new" colors and can order Smokey Slate by itself but can't get Crushed Curry and Soft Sky separately. They're only offering 2 out of those 10 new colors in separate markers. I'm not buying the new colors marker set and ending up with 7 duplicates just to get 3 colors.
Last year I thought maybe they were going to redo all the markers and that was why they cut back on them so much, maybe that's still their plan down the road.

I am happy that I still have the ones I purchased when they were in colors. I do hope for the sake of those who dont have them that they are still coming.
Blessings

I also only need the Soft Sky and Smoky Slate markers. I am also a bit miffed because I have the color coach and would have to $14.95 for the complete color coach when I only need Bermuda Bay, Soft sky, Crushed Curry and of course Smoky Slate. I would have been willing to buy a set of the 10 new colors, like they do the new in colors. But the not whole complete set again. :(

I agree. I am mad about not being able to get Soft Sky separately. Has anyone officially complained to SU?

talking about this last night with card friends. Each has called & registered their complaints / concerns to SU directly. More people need to.

My demo this month said demos are really unhappy about no individual Soft Sky marker. It never was available as a marker in the first place since InColors didn't have matching markers in the beginning. So SU telling demos for years now to hang on to their retired InColor supplies didn't help a bit in this case.

I complained yesterday to SU via email. I mentioned that it was never available before as a marker too. I'm still waiting to hear back.

actually, just updating the color coach wouldn't work since quite a few colors were retired...that's why I think they didn't just offer the new colors.

They weren't thinking, that's for sure. No, I'm not going to spend $28 to get the one. I'll use Pool Party, probably.
But the Smoky Slate can be purchased singly, and I will do that.

They were thinking they would sell lot's of sets!!! MY markers wear out in my most used colors I would LOVE to be able to replace the ones that are worn individully. But I can't so I guess I just have to wait till enough of them are worn to justify buying a set. I think they are more expensive individually so I can't understand why they won't sell them that way.

See post one in the General Stamping Forum. Appears SU is going to do something about single markers for the new color line up. Here's the link to the thread:
