This week is my Co-Hostess, Joan's, birthday, and I thought it would be fun to surprise her with a gallery full of techniques she has presented, or with cards that have been cased from her gallery. She has been a hostess of this challenge for a long time, and I wanted to honor her dedication and inspiration to us!:
So for today's technique, you can:
1) case a card from Joan's gallery {here}
2) choose one of the techniques that she has chosen for this challenge (scroll thru here )
3) do both!
Be sure to tell us in your description what you are doing and link up to Joan's card if you cased her. Please make sure the TLC Challenge you choose was presented by Joan - not any other hostess!
Please use TLC428 (no space) as your keyword. You can also add the original TLC challenge keyword that you chose if you wish.
For my sample, I chose Joan's TLC366: It's A Banner Kind of Day: My Sample: The Sky's The Limit
Happy Birthday Joan, thanks for all the time you put into this group!!! I will work on this later this week, hubby is coming home for three weeks from Afghanistan after being over there for 9 months. Have a great birthday month!! Karen W
What a brilliant idea for a challenge, Judy!
Housework this morning, but I'll be along later - and I'll take a quick look through the challenge list so I can think while I work.
Judy, a terrific way to honor Joan on her birthday and thank her for all the wonderful techniques that she has presented to us. I chose one of my favorites and one of her first....TLC279, "Pounded Flowers".

I needed to make a thank you card for a friend tonight and I decided it would be fun to see how many challenges I could squeeze into one card... And what to my wonderful surprise, one challenge was to make Joan a HAPPY BIRTHDAY card. What an awesome birthday idea. So I sort of cased Joan's... TLC427 Turn Your Face to the Sun which included making your own chevrons and I included some summer fruit which was the June VSNMINI challenge from a month ago.
