Hi everyone! My name is Holly and I live in Texas with my hubby and our two puppies. I've been a member of SCS since 2004 and it has been awesome to see it grow by leaps and bounds!
I loved my coloring books and my boxes of crayons when I was a kid, and now those tools have been replaced with stamps and inks and cardstock and Copic markers. Well, actually, I have WAY more papercrafting tools than just those, but it would take far too long to list them all! LOL
Random facts about me:
* My puppy survived a rattlesnake bite to the face and throat at the age of 13. Tough ol' broad, I tell ya!
* I love dark chocolate.
*My favorite season is winter. However, winter here is more like nice, crisp fall weather everywhere else, so does that mean my favorite season is actually fall??
* I'm a lefty and I'm the only one in many generations of family on both sides.
* I was a math tutor in college.
* I can play the piano.
* I won't eat raw tomatoes. I love tomato sauce, roasted tomatoes, ketchup, and salsa, but I will not eat a raw tomato.
oh my gosh Holly I don't eat raw tomatoes either. ( my family think's I am so strange) and I secretly call our greenhouse the salsa house ( all that is growing in it right now is tomatoes and peppers) lol

LOL! That's what our garden is - the salsa factory! LOL This year I roasted all the tomatoes first and then cooked up the onions, peppers, jalapenos, and spices and added the food-milled roasted tomatoes into the cooked veggies. Then I cooked them up a bit more, boat-motored the whole mess, and then called it salsa. Those roasted tomatoes really brought an extra layer of flavor to the salsa, and we LOVED it. I'm definitely doing it this way from now on.
What on earth are zukes? Or is that what you call zucchini and I don't know if I've even spelled that right because we don't call them that here.
Zukes sound like something from Dr. Seuss!!
Courgettes here, yes. Like eggplant for aubergine. I guess that when I shared my ratatouille recipe back in DTGD I probably needed to provide more of a translation, LOL.
DH isn't fond of zukes - but I like them fried, sauted in butter and a sprig of rosemary and then some cream poured over them and heated just till it's hot.

Sabrina, that sounds YUMMY!!!!!!!!! I'm gonna try that next time we have zucchini overflowing in the garden. I bet a little parmesan cheese and a sprinkle of garlic powder would make it like a scalloped zucchini dish. Hmmmmmm now you're making me hungry!! LOL
You love winter????? Yikes!! I'll remember that the next time I hear you complain about the cold, nasty weather we have in Jan and Feb...LOL!!!!! BTW...you didn't tell them about the fabulous zucchini bread you made this summer...yummm!!!!
