Hi, I'm Misti. One of the first things people want to know about is my user name. Back when I joined, everyone around me was into scrapbooking & with 2 young boys, I thought it would be so cool to have scrapbooks for them to look at. I collected all of the papers, the supplies, etc. but never seemed to enjoy the actual process of putting everything together. When I created my user name here on SCS, I put Scrap-erwannabe. It didn't like my hyphen, so I didn't start over or come up with a different name, because I wasn't going to be posting much. (you didn't have to look at my post count just now! )

Anyway... back to more about me. I'm a stay at home mom of 2 boys, 12 & 10. . We have lived in numerous cities in Oklahoma & spent a year & a half in Arkansas. We are back in Oklahoma for awhile... I hope! Both of my boys are competitive archers & we travel all.the.time! My oldest just submitted his paperwork to try to make the Jr. Dream Team selection camp for archery. Both of them have aspirations of making the Olympic team in 2020. We have an eBay business, I homeschool both of them & manage their Facebook Page. I also wear the hat of coach, taxi driver to practice, oversee-er of their food plans & training schedule. You can see why stamping is my sanity saver!!!!

I'm so honored to be back as a hostess for HYCTT. My favorite aunt lost her battle with cancer & she was such an inspiration to all who knew her. She was so strong. She is my motivation for participating in HYCCT.

Some random facts about me:

* My least favorite colors are pink & purple.
* I'm not a fan of glitter.
* Snow & cold... those are two very, very, very bad 4 letter words at my house.
* I do not travel without my Diet Dr. Pepper!
* I know Lee's real name & can be bribed with chocolate. Bwhahahaha... Totally kidding about the bribe!!!

We have visited Oklahoma several times as some friends of ours have a Christian camp in Anadarko where some of our kids have worked over the summer. And I didn't realize you were another fellow homeschooling mom! Bet the flexibility helps with your kids' competition schedules and travels. I'm not big on pink either, but that's the color of dp I had with my sweet treats....hahaha...oh well! I'm sure there are plenty of patients who are not in our non-pink camp!

Shut. Up. My Father-in-law lived in Anadarko until a few years ago. And my dad used to go there for the big Pow-Wow in the summer. It's a tiny little place with a Sonic and a Walmart. How weird and cool that you've been there! Were your kids there 4th of July 2002? Jeff proposed during the city fireworks!

Misti, I'm a HUGE fan of Diet Dr. Pepper, too. Matter of fact, I'm drinking one right now...it's my breakfast and what gets me started in the mornings as I don't drink coffee.

It is a tiny little town. I think our first visit out was Spring of '04 though my DD went out earlier. It was a 23 hour drive for us from VA! I think our friends moved out there in 99. Small world

I'm another Diet Dr. Pepper drinker. I don't drink coffee either. I'm not a pink fan although I do like purple. Well, make that love purple!

How proud you must be of those boys. Good for them to find something that they can be passionate about. Thanks for sharing your story so we can get to know a little more about you.
