This has been the FASTEST Hope You Can Cling To EVER! Thank you so much for participating and most importantly, sending your cards to the patients at MD Anderson this year. Your creations have been amazing.
As I was thinking about closing this year's challenge, I was amazed that we've put a fifth year in the books. So I thought about books for a minute and...
my challenge is - be inspired by your favorite children's book! I chose one of my first book loves - Winnie the Pooh. I loved Pooh's bumbling optimism, and sweetness. I love how Milne contrasted him with the cranky and depressed Eeyore. There was a great lesson in those books about attitude and how it can change your circumstances.
So what was your favorite children's book, and why?
And remember, the most important part of this month is the day you MAIL your cards to the ladies at MD Anderson. The rest of your job is to chat, create and have FUN.

I am stumped by this ,i might have to go digital ,I am trying to remember what i have read as a kid all i can think is Enid Blyton & Seven Little Australians Cheers
I loved this challenge, Lydia, thankyou! HERE is my card inspired by the White Stag in The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe, by C.S. Lewis. (Who was from Belfast originally, and lived and went to school within a mile or two of my house!)
I was inspired by the children's book- "The Little Engine That Could". I used this cute cargo truck stamp and sentiment from PTI's Boy Basics- Truckin' It set, and added an embossed traffic jam background. I always told the kids that you have to work hard to get where you want to go, but it's worth the effort

So mine is a longer story. First I will admit that it's not from a favorite childhood book. That would be Winnie the Pooh, that I read so often to my boys I had many lines memorized. but I'd don't own any Pooh stamps. The motivation comes from the book Ballet Shoes by Noel Streatfield. The fact is that I have never read this book. I had this stamp that I desperately wanted to use. And I remembered this book from The movie You've Got Mail. So it fits in perfectly with the stamp and the challenge. And I think it's a good ideal to live by.
I do intend to check out the book from my library and read it. Maybe it will become a favorite.;)

This was SO hard to choose. I was quite young when we got our first Snoopy book...which would have been the obvious choice. And I loved all the Laura Ingalls Wilder books, and the Hobbit, and...and...and... But Little Grey Rabbit has a personal back-story to go with itl!! And I love using that stamp .
Posting my last card, wow the month went by fast. Thank you for all of your behind the scenes work. I'm sure all of the patients appreciate it and we as card makers appreciate all of the hostesses. Here is my card:
Such a fabulous idea to wrap things up, Lydia! Thank you! So appreciate all you and the rest of the wonderful people who've worked to hard to make this happen for another year.

Thanks for a great month of challenges. This was a great challenge to end the month. I enjoyed spending time with my childhood memories while making my card.
It took me a while to figure out my favorie "book" (its actually a series of books) as a child THAT I had stamps I could use to make a card but i finally figured something out so I will make a card today.
