Challenge Title: Mr. Squiggle Hostess: understandblue aka Lydia Keyword: MIX13
Whether this is your first Mix-Ability challenge or your 13th, our goal is to make mixed media, easy, approachable and FUN! We want to convince you that no matter what your style is - you can DO it!
If you want to start these challenges in the pages of an art journal, instead of a card, or on scrapbook pages, or on 3D items - please know - ANYTHING is welcome! We want you to learn and enjoy!
My challenge today is to introduce you to my friend, Mr. Squiggle. You may pick any two mediums for your MIX - watercolor, ink, paint - anything goes, but you MUST include some hand drawn doodling on your project. If you're a zentangler, this is your week! if you feel like you can't draw - keep it simple - I just drew lines around the stamped image on my sample.
Use a drawing medium like an art marker or gel pen, charcoal or pencil if you want - whatever you like! Just make sure you use a minimum of two mediums when approaching Mr. Squiggle!
Please remember to put in the correct keyword when uploading your image. Copying and pasting the challenge keyword is recommended to avoid typos. Then come back to this thread and paste a link to the card in your gallery so we can all ooh and ahhh!
Here's a link to my card, plus a close-up of the painting - I got a little free-form with my watercoloring as well! I painted with Shinhan watercolors, then added details with Touch markers and a Micron pen.
Location: Fredericksburg, VA, but originally from Scotland!:)

What a fun challenge! I made my card but don't have time to upload. It will have to wait until after work today :( I look forward to seeing what everyone does!
This looks like fun - I already have a dozen ideas running through my mind! Love the samples and cards in the gallery so far. Everyone is so clever creative with their doodling.
You ladies rock!!! Love the samples you shared. Hope I get to play today. :0)

Well that was fun, sort of!!! This was the first image I started coloring...with such high hopes I might add. One messed up sky, 2 more lousy watercolor images, 3 doodled frames later...here is what I finally came up with. I am thinking I just might be the slowest stamper on the planet!!!
It's been fun looking at the gallery and reading how some others struggle with these challenges. This one wasn't too bad for me and relatively non-messy, except for the sponging, which I get a little crazy with.
I posted earlier that I had a dozen ideas about making a card for this challenge. Well, this wasn't one of them, so I may come back later in the week and do another. I used this challenge to honor Queen Jeanne S.

I am so excited...each challenge kicks me up another small notch to try something new. I do use squiggles from time to time so I decided to do a little more and try drawing something on my card for the first time. I can't believe it I drew a bird! It was so much fun!...and for me that's what this is all about. Lydia thanks for another fabulous challenge!

I just noticed that my SCS title changed to Watercolor Wizard. That is SO not me! I have not yet been able to do anything successful with watercolor. I just don't 'get' it. I need to do a lot of posting so I can get up to 9000 and Forum Fanatic - a much more apt description.
