I know when Ive gone through difficult times in my life, the thing that I found most refreshing was to have someone just really listen to me not try to fix things for me, or say the right thing (because more often than not, those words arent there), but just to sit, allow me to get everything out into words, take it in, and through those words, process the situation along with me. The skill of listening is so valuable and rare.
Thanks, Dina, for the reminder about being a good listener. Your words are so true that sometimes it's more important that we just listen and not try to have an answer -- because as you said, there isn't always an answer, at least not an easy one. My "Are You OK?" card asks a question and is ready to listen!

My first thought was this bunny with his big ears so ready to listen. He is so much fun to color -just some simple shading with a brown pencil and a few pink touches.
As you can see by how late I am with this one, I was a bit stumped. I don't have a lot of animal stamps and just wasn't coming up with anything I wanted to do. When I saw a cool piece of art with a little girl, I decided to go with a card that a daughter could give to her mom to let her know she was there for her just as my 11yo did for me when I was down last week. Since Dina is one of my Mixed Media heroes it is only fitting that I went in that direction as well. Daughter's Thoughts
