Good morning ladies, yay it's the weekend. I pulled an all nighter & stayed up last night until 4:00 am. I have a few extra cards I'll be sending as well that's not part of the challenge, I hope that's ok.
I'm having so much fun again.

I'm caught up! My cards are completed up to today and are posted to my gallery. I need a little breather so I'll link them to the threads a little later!

Hi peeps! Haven't accomplished much today. Had back surgery recently and had choir practice this morning that completely wiped out all my energy. Just wanted to pop in and say howdy. Hope you all had a great WCMD!

as far as the sentiment goes, how does it make YOU feel? I appreciate the here and now much more, but then I think I've always been that kind of a person. you aren't sending a sympathy card, (and yes, I have had several of those come in the mail! ) so I would say, tread lightly. remember that these cards are being given TO cancer patients who are then giving them TO other folks. that might be just the thing that someone is trying to convey, but can't put into actual words.....

for me, the absolute best sentiments are always 'thinking of you' and ones that make me laugh. a smile is always in good taste. and everyone always wants to know that they are being remembered.

isn't this just the bestest time of the year?!?! I so love getting pink with my friends!
With regards to the BRA die -- another survivor here, who also has the die and used the die on my card for yesterday -- I used the die earlier this year on a card , while thinking of my own reconstructive surgery and getting my new "real fake boobs". I stamped a simple congrats with it. Having gone through chemo & radiation, along with a bilateral mastectomy with tissue expanders, a leaking expander that had to be replaced, the implant surgery and finally last week, the "crowning touches" (if you know what I mean )-- by the time I was cleared after the implants to go bra shopping, I wanted to have something pretty to wear again! It was highly therapeutic to go shopping for pretty, lacy things that felt good!

Anywho -- I am very excited to have all of my cards through yesterday DONE! My goal is to complete all challenges this year! Since I'm not 100% from the surgery, I have doctor's orders to take it easy, which is a great reason to craft!

It looks pretty organized to me! I think my mess is worse than yours. I have little to no organization at the moment, and I don't want to stop to do something about it at this point.

I only reviewed posts here for about one page back. Sounds like you are all having fun.

I had to clean house Thursday as I had the Card Ministry Design Team here Friday morning. It probably won't get cleaned again for another two weeks. They didn't make much mess, but I've made more mess just making the challenge cards for Friday and Saturday. Can't believe I'm staying caught up (so far.) I think the new uploader is making it easier/faster, and I have all my cards uploaded (so far.) So often in challenge events I put off uploading until I have a bunch, then it seems such a burdensome job! I like to do them one at a time.

Loved the "survive" video and all that PINK!

It's been cool here (north Texas) today, and I can hear some thunder now. Perhaps we'll get rain, I hope.

How could I forget World Card Making day today??! Here I planned to bake, work on the garden & maybe run off to work for a few hours (to help take the pressure off next week)... I popped in here while waiting for the banana bread to finish up. Still want to make cookies for hubby but forgot to set out the butter earlier so that will be later. I do need to make a birthday card for hubby for tomorrow tho so I guess I will get some card making time in today despite my original plans! I'm hopping by Tuesday I'll be able to start on the challenge cards!

I do organize but before I do it usually GETS BAD. I have a place for those scraps but isn't it easier to leave them there and pull from the stack rather than trying to sift through the pouches? That's my story and I am sticking to it!!!!

The camo is great fun-- Therapeutic. Really get your frustrations out, pounding down any old pink image all over the panel!

Wow! You did a great job on your camo! Did you use a stamp???? I still haven't started! I was setting up blogs for next week. I have an MFT stamp "fight like a girl", I think so I was thinking of using that. Just need to figure out how I am going to do my camo!

I used mft's abstract art, channeled Jackson Pollack with a bunch of pink inks and several of the stamps from that set. Great therapy!

Hello Jenny. So glad to see you over here and having some crafty fun.

I was invited to a 'Girls Night In' today. First time I've been to a Pink Ribbon event like this and a great way to increase awareness for womens cancers.

Now to work on my Camo card.

the one I struggle with now is I bought the MFT bra die last year and my friend at work is just SHOCKED by that, how can you even think of giving a bra covered card to someone with breast cancer type thing. ( so I have moved that to the back of the basket on the table) I want to use it but, her reaction really threw me for a loop.
As a breast cancer survivor myself, I would not have been offended by the card. I think it all depends on the person receiving the card. I was able to get by with a lumpectomy so a band-aid on one of the cups would have tickled me to no end!

Because cancer survivors are such scrappy fighters, I think I would like to see a challenge where we use scraps to make a card. I have mine in several plastic cases sorted by color. I have been really trying to make myself go through the scrap pile before I reach for the full size sheets.

I think I make nearly a third of my cards out of the scraps from other cards and whats left on my desk. Thats one of the things I find so appealing about these challenges.

Gorgeous card! Upload and keywords look good. You just need to add your link to the specific challenge thread for that card. You'll find the thread for your card here -

Thanks and hope you all have a lovely weekend
I left a note on your card. I don't think it's in the main HYCCT gallery.

If you're using Firefox (not sure about other browsers) edit your photo, click the dropdown and start typing Events - this will take you to the events, Special collections section. Scroll down a bit and you'll see Hope You can cling to 2013.

Next time you upload - look at this screenshot for what to do

Ladies.. I am going to share your stories with my friend at work ( maybe tomorrow ) (might not do it till Wed. ish...)

( I'm trying to convince her that if she did test the waters with an internet username and account somewhere SCS is probably the safest friendliest place to get her feet wet)
