Gail, I like that sentiment a great deal. ( but, I dont know if I would be brave enough to give it to someone fighting cancer ) hopefully someone like Jennifer will weigh in on that one.

the one I struggle with now is I bought the MFT bra die last year and my friend at work is just SHOCKED by that, how can you even think of giving a bra covered card to someone with breast cancer type thing. ( so I have moved that to the back of the basket on the table) I want to use it but, her reaction really threw me for a loop.

No your card won't get removed!

Don't overthink the religious thing. If it's not a bible verse or overtly religious, you're fine.

Stacy, that's just your co-worker's reaction. Depending on how you use the die, it can be a needed humorous release. As a breast cancer survivor, I used those images to "lighten up"--

My understanding is that folks are choosing from a large selection of cards for a diverse group of recipients. Their choice, not ours, and if they think their recipient is in need of a light-hearted, supportive image, they'll choose one.

I must admit that that thought crossed my mind when I've seen dies and stamps like that. My DD worked in the lingerie dept at JCP and that was SUCH a touchy subject with gals who had cancer or were facing surgery. They were often in tears in the dressing room just at the thought. For me, though, I couldn't bring myself to use them either way. I was raised the old fashioned way where under wear was meant to be worn under something.

I've gotten three days behind but hope to catch up this weekend. My craft room got torn apart to rip up the carpet and lay down some engineered hardwood. I did get 90% of my things back into the room BUT I have to work 12:30-9:30 today so I won't be able to organize things until tomorrow. I've enjoyed seeing everyone else's creations and do have ideas for the challenges I've fallen behind on.

I wouldn't give it to someone fighting cancer, but I know my mom has really felt that having cancer has given her a greater appreciation for her "now" and maybe a patient might want to send it? I think I'll just save that one for my card rack sales though since I don't feel sure enough about it.
I just finished putting a BUNCH of cards into clear envelopes. I did a big restock at my card rack in August so I think I'm pretty good to go there, so all my recent cards, stuff I'd pulled from overfull parts of my rack, some cards in my own stash, and the cards I've made for the challenges so far (trying to make multiples of the easy ones while I have the stuff out) are wrapped up and ready to go!
TIME TO SEND THE FIRST BOX!!!

Just for fun: Gloria Gaynor and a bunch of breast cancer survivors singing and dancing to "I Will Survive"

Good morning all -- I've been absent and haven't even begun to try the challenges -- life has a way of messing up my plans ..

Stacy -- traditionally, there have been a ton of bra cards for HYCCT - usually done with tongue in cheek humor..

Hello, all-- Just a head's up: I get to start the favorites thread (in general stamping talk) this weekend. Yay! Of course, I'm going to talk up hycct. What I want to say here, is to start collecting favorites and post them on Sunday's thread. I've seen some masterpieces and I've already started a list for the favorites. I'll post a link late tomorrow night. What do you think?

I have already been doing that one ( collecting favorites)
I just wish I had more time to spend in the gallery, but I've peeked in a bit each night this week. ( so glad tomorrow is the weekend!)

Good morning all....time to clean the house ugh It is definitely not optional this week though. Pretty much a mess in every room. You can definitely tell we live here. Hope to give myself a stamp break later in the day, but I also have a bulletin board to church to finish up that is going to take some time as well.

Oh I can relate to all the scraps Angie...surprisingly there seems to be a lot of PINK ones. And Gail, thanks for reminding me that housework has been put on the back burner so to speak....it's a rainy, gloomy day here so I guess I have no excuse..except that I do need to make a trip to the PO to mail off my first batch of cards ...

Being a typical SHE it took me a bit to get to the stamp room and it only took me 12 minutes to clean the table!

Thanks to ohmypaper I have now put my colored scraps into a basket to use throughout this month...then I will toss the tiny and file the useable pieces in the correct file come November...

At least I have a plan...helps who I am...

Now to make a Pink Camo card...thinking...thinking...thinking...

FYI Tuesday Morning stores are selling the Big Kick until their inventory is depleted, starting tomorrow, for $29.99...question of the day, is it worth it for me to drive 30 miles to go and get one, i think my cuttlebug is dying.

Yay, me-- I just donated blood. They said to take it easy (interpretation: no housecleaning) and get plenty of fluids (Does that include ink?). Ha! Football on TV, mod shift and a parsonage open house. THEN jammies.
