Doesn't anyone have this heat (embossing) tool? I thought this is the one that heats up fast so crafters liked it. I found it on a site but there are several that are for hobbyists and I wanted to know which model is preferred by owners of this brand of embossing tool.

To be honest, I have never heard of it. When I saw Milwaukee heat tool, all I could think was a tool my husband has and the box says Milwaukee across the front. I have an SU heat tool and it works fine fo rmy paper crafting needs. Maybe someone else will know about it.

I'm with wanda50 on this- the Ranger tool is ace. Heats up really well, but best of all its extremely quiet! I don't know anything about the Milwaukee, but some heat guns sound like a jet coming in to land!

Default Ranger heat tool issue

Hi,
I bought my Ranger heat tool at Christmas, but didn't use it until March. I posted about problems embossing. Anyway, its the heat gun. Ranger is going to replace it; evidently they got a bad batch of guns. However, they seem to be having some sort of problem with getting more good ones in stock to replace mine. They even sent me one off their craft table to use until they can get me a new one. So...beware if you buy one. Check the date on the handle first and if it's from last fall or since, stay away for now.

If you look at the Hero Arts site they sell a Milwaukee heat tool. My LSS was able to get it for me and I really like it.
