Can you believe this is our 5th year of Scrappin' Goal Challenge?! We sure completed an AWESOME number of pages together in 2009 through 2012 and I'm looking forward to MORE Scrap pages together in 2013! Let's keep scrappin'.
It was SO fun to chat about and see everyone's pages, goals and ideas for completing LOTS of scrapbook pages in 2013! Many had a common theme - get more pages done, use what's in our stash, meet new scrapping friends, plan time/crops...
What fun we'll have sharing ideas, cheering success, keeping the motivation and making new friends. Our scrap goal isn't all about getting pages done, it's also about enjoying the process! Please feel free to join at any time!
Here's the CHALLENGE. Each person can share their page goals, pages and ideas. for those of use who like Annual Goals, we will have a better shot at meeting our yearly goal if we break it down by month.
*In this thread, we track our monthly goals. We find it helps us keep getting pages done which is good for all of us.
You choose your own scrapbook page goal and monthly spend goal. You may select 2, 3, 5, 50 pages....you choose. The idea is to be flexible so if you know you're going to be really busy, you can reduce the number one month or if you're going to a couple crops or scrap weekends, up the number. This also works for the budget. Each month, you can change your goals depending on your calendar!
The whole goal of the challenge is to get lots of pages done all the while enjoying sharing with Virtual Friends.
Are you UP for the CHALLENGE? Come and Play in the 2013 Scrapbook Challenge! Here's to Meeting our Scrapping Goals & Meeting New Friends!
We'd love to "oohh" and "aahh" over your pages so please post with key word "sbc13apr

April Goal
Count me in for April.
March was all about cleaning out the craft room, dusting off the Cricut, buying new adhesive cuz the old adhesive had lost its sticky (yes, that happens apparently!)... so April, I'm ready.
This morning I went into my happy space, got the last of the work surface cleaned off, and got some inspiration from the pretties as I put the last few back into their proper places... and now I am ready. The one little thing that got me started on my "Really Big Scrapbooking Year" when I accomplished 700+ pages was to force myself to do ONE PAGE A DAY. Just one. Some nights I would be just about to climb into bed and remember "Doh! I didn't get my page done!" so I would run downstairs and do it. Because I was in my scraproom so much I really got to know where my stuff was, what I had, and a routine of how to pull photo, pull paper, grab a few embellies and get 'er done. I am going to reinstate that goal. As I am currently on super strong chemo (urinary cancer that traveled to my kidney, lung, shoulder...but the kidney was removed and the chemo shows my lung clearing, clearing, clearing up!!!) my week can be a bit of a queasy rollercoaster to manage and there will be 5 days out of every week that I won't be able to get off the couch... BUT, that leaves two days to get a page done. Therefore, my April goal will be 8 pages. I can do it. I know I can!!!
April goal: 8 pages.

HAppy Spring! I'm ready for April. continuing my goal of 20 pages. March I finished several books. counting 40 of those pages that were 12x12. It's hard to count mini's I designed because pages are multi sizes.

Wow! I will be rooting for you! I can not imagine doing 700 pages all my years added together! You are my inspiration GF!
Can you update my totals please I posted in the March thread on Thurs and updated my signature.
"I have 22 pages done for March! Most of my daughters Junior year is done except for Prom. I doubt I will be able to get to it before the month ends cause I am going away tomorrow night. So when I get back I have some huge spring cleaning to do and then I really have to bust it out and get it all done! No stress! I just know the last 6 weeks of school will fly then graduation will be here. I so want this done soon!"
Thanks
I did 24 pages in February, but only 2 in March. I'm doing ok for the year, so I'm not going to get too worried about not touching my March goal. For April I'm going to make my goal 6 pages.
Congrats to all who met or surpassed their goal!!

I got my first page done for April and now I can't settle down with any ideas for my next two (the pic's and papers are chosen) , so I guess I will continue purging to see if I can find room for all of my supplies.
Right now we have an electrician and our decorator in the house trying to finish the kitchen. I keep wandering out or my craft room but then decide I am in the way so I wander back to my room.
Well I just ordered almost 600 prints of just senior year stuff! UGh Today I worked on uploading all of that to Shutterfly and cleaned out the kitchen thoroughly, rearranged cabinets and reorganized. Tomorrow I will finish off what I didn't get to in the kitchen and start the office/scrapbook room. Hopefully I can get to last years prom pics before all of the senior pics arrive!
Kristin! YOU are inspiration lady! Sending you my prayers and getting off my butt to get my pages done right alongside you!
Hugs,
Terri

Scrapbook goal: April 7/10 MAY /5 YTD 32
It's a rainy day here and it looks like it is going to rain all day so I think I will spend it in my craft room. I have a good start on Wendy's progressive digi challenge - task 1. Of course mine is in the traditional style.
I made great headway in the purging process. Not fantastic mind you since I find it hard to part with a lot of things, but at least my papers will be organized and labeled when I finish. Now to find room for all those bits and pieces of embellishments!!
I can't imagine having 600 pictures of one event, even though it went all year long. That sound like quite an undertaking! How many albums does that take??!? I have to check out your gallery again Renee to see how you incorporate that many photos. It should give me ideas on ways to use up some of my photos.

Oh my, Kristin, you are an inspiration. So sorry to hear of your cancer. It's so great to see you've kept your upbeat, positive outlook on things. I always enjoyed your posts when you were here more regularly "back in the day!" I hope you'll post your pages, but even if not, you'll be in my thoughts and prayers!

Thanks Wendy!
I had to quit university (I'm working to be a librarian, my treatment plan has put that to the side for now) in the final four weeks of my final semester, and my baby is now in Kindergarten... so I'm working on finding some fun things to fill my non-chemo-sick days. Yay scrapbooking! And yay visiting with my Splitcoast friends! :-)
I'm getting pages done!! Woo HOOO! This one is fun - I'm behind on the Creative Crew challenges for April so I'm working hard to get caught up. I really want to see this page as the hybrid page I have in my mind. Someone remind me when life gets less busy, ok??
Love your basketball page Terri and you have some wonderful ideas for that hybrid page. I would remind you when your life gets less busy except by then my mind will have let those thoughts just flutter away! lol

My menfolk rock!
Target is coming to Canada! And so, in process of switching over from Zellers to the new Target, our Zellers had pegboard for $1/4'x5' sheet and my hubby and son came home with two sheets for my scrapbooking room! The last two weeks has been a process of moving my embellishments and paper kits and such from hanging above my craft desk on a piece of dowel and onto the new pegboard wall. I just use large paperclips cuz they are cheap and easy to use as hangers. I'm slow moving because I can only give about 10 minutes of work at a time before I need to recouperate (chemo and side effects have me slow-moving these months) but I got the last things moved last night and I'm ready to get to the fun part: scrapbooking!!! Also, isn't it so inspiring to shuffle your supplies every once-in-a-while to remember the pretties you had forgotten about, to re-organize things into a more fresh or modern take on the old, and to remix colours as are current... and all without spending another $5 for the newest things?!?! I LOVE IT! Seriously, the pegboard wall makes me feel like I am LIVING in a scrapbook store, and how fun is THAT?!?!?!
Today we'll stop at IKEA for the Bygel curtain rods to give my punches a home (finally...punches are so hard to store!) and then, I'm done. I found some page kits that I don't even remember acquiring... can't wait to open those babies up and get to playing!
May your day be great and your creativity be flowing!!!

Kristin, I checked out your blog this morning and looked at some of your pictures wondering if you will be using some of those for your pages. I especially like the Tinkerbell pin and the gelato outing, I thought the quotes would make the perfect embellishments!
Do you have a gallery? I looked a little for one but probably did not have it spelled right. I will copy and paste to see if you have a SCS gallery. You have such a way with words (for journaling) and I wanted to see some of your work.
Blessing to you this day.
Found your gallery Kristin, I did have it spelled wrong!!
Bahahaha! Thanks ;) I am determined to get into some hybrid pages this year - I think it will be the wonderful best of both worlds, digi and traditional. And when I get meself an electronic cutter...wooot wooot! I had ordered an eClips but it was way backordered so I ended up cancelling the order. Your pages make me drool with some of the awesome die cuts you have!

Thanks for persevering and finding my gallery, and thank you for checking out my blog, Sharon. I appreciate that a lot! Not sure what I will turn my blog into, but I know that I will certainly print my story in some form because so much has happened in such a short few months that I can't even remember it all and I'm still in the fight part! Looking forward to the moving-on part a LOT! :-)

Checking in for a split second, haha. I've set a goal for 10 for March, and that's if I'm lucky, and it COULD only count weekly pages, lol. I did load this page around the time the month changed, using a sketch from VSBN: J's baptism
The photos are about 3 years old, but hooray for scrapping it, lol!
