TLC423 ~ Stamp It, Mask It, Sponge It, and Glitter It Up!! ~ (04/01/13)
Hello everyone!! It's my turn to host this weeks TLC and my challenge is to Stamp it, Mask it, Sponge it, and Glitter it up!!!! That's right...we are going to do three techniques in one!!! I just love the look of a sparkly stamped image without any coloring that is surrounded by sponging!! Oh, BTW....this is not an April Fools Day joke...LOL!!!
Here are the deets:
1. Stamp an image with lots of clear space on light colored card stock.
2. Mask the image and sponge a darker background color all around the image.
3. Remove the masking and glitter up all or part of the image....no coloring allowed!!!
4. BTW...if you use Stickles for the sparkle you will be adding a little color.
Edit....I'm sorry if this sounds like you can't use Stickles....by all means use them if you want...they count for sparkle!!!
Great challenge Joan, I'm off to stamp, mask and glitter!

Here's my polar pair on my card. Thanks Joan, this was fun!

Am I correct in assuming that you want us to use clear glitter? I have lots of coloured glitters as well as clear.
If you use clear glitter, you can see the white or light background. Colored glitter is ok if it is light and you get contrast with the light image and darker background.
You got my mind wheels turning this morning, Joan. : ) I'm not a big glitter user and prefer Stickles or glitter glue so I know those pesky little sparkles are held in check. It was fun working this out. Thanks!
THanks for the fun challenge, Joan! The hardest part was waiting for the stickles to dry, lol. Finally got out my hair dryer! Here's my Glittery Dogwoods . Thanks so much for looking!

Joan, I love this technique!! Thanks so much for posting it. I'm sure I'll be using it often. I couldn't stop with just one card, so made two (and have an idea for a third!):
I know we were not to "color" the card but really I was just adding glitter
with my martha stewart glitter pens.
One night a few years ago when I came to bed glowing in the dark and glittered adorned our bedsheets, carpet, and everywhere we looked, my dh put the kabosh on glitter. He's ok with the glitter pens. LOL.
So this is the only way I could do this challenge.
I do feel just awful for Marie. One does not expect to have to attend their son's funeral. It's very sad. Fortunately she is a strong lady.
