Has anybody else had issues with Dylusions spray tips clogging? This has happened to me with several bottles and it's really frustrating. While I don't use them every day I do pull them fairly regularly. Is there a way to prevent this?
I've got bad Ranger mojo today! First my black Dylusions is totally clogged and unusable and now one of my Distress Paint sponge tips won't release any paint (squeezed it so hard the paint started seeping out from under the screw top). I think on this one the little doohickey that releases the paint when you press the tip to the mat is not moving to release the paint.
Does this mean I have to do housework instead of playing today??
I thought Dylusions were just colored liquids? There isn't any pearl powder in it to clog it up, right? Maybe you could take the sprayer out and rinse it under some warm water in case some of the dye dried up on the spraying tip?? Just an idea.
As for the paint - major bummer. I just bought some and I'm hoping they will work properly. I've read that you can contact Ranger and they are very good about providing quality customer service. Many people have had Ranger items replaced when they contacted Ranger about certain problems.
I did try rinsing the sprayer in water, but I used coldish water. Maybe warm will do the trick. Bummed because I have almost all of the original spray inks and it's happened to 4 of them. They're not more than 3 months old either. Usually I can work it loose but this black one is being stubborn.
One of my Dylusions is 'blobbing' (technical term HAHA). I'm wondering now if it's partially clogged or something and that's why the ink is not spraying out nicely...

I can definitely vouch for Rangers Customer Service. I had two DI re-inkers that were almost solid in the bottle. I just emailed them a picture, and they arranged for replacements to be sent out to me.
A few of mine clogged too. I rinsed the sprayers under hot water, and kept pumping them until they unclogged. This has also happened with my Adirondack spray inks, to the point where I had to transfer the Stream to another spray bottle. I think the pigments settle, or the dye thickens, because the Adirondack ink had thickened at the bottom of the sprayer assembly. Yuck!
