I'm so excited I had to share. If you clicked beyond the posting title you'll already understand how cool this is. (I feel sorry for the poor souls who don't know Doctor Who.)
At VivaLasVegaStamps they have a plate (#925) of rubber stamps with a police box, multiple weeping angels, fish fingers & custard, a bowtie, many great sentiments and more. It's even on sale and I just ordered it.
I think I'll make a Hello Sweetie card 1st with this! My sweetie will like it.
so the "plate" is just like how Stampin' Up used to sell their rubber stamps. One big sheet that you had to trim around each stamp by hand?? I can live with that! Off to check this out!! :-)
I already have the police box stamps but I'm still tempted....I will probably just put them on my wish list ATM as I have a lot of rubber that needs love!!!

Plates are generally just the plain rubber - no cling mounting. You have to add your own cling foam. Or you can just use the bare rubber, which is my preference. I use Tack 'n Peel But before I discovered TnP I used removable double sided tape and just tossed it whenever it lost its tackiness. When you use bare rubber on the acrylic mount, be sure to have a cushiony surface to stamp on - such as a telephone book or Darice foam stamping mat
Not enough time for me to order and get before DD 30th birthday - we are BIG Whovians - I did find a cutting file of the Tardis that I am hoping to use for her BD card.

Received mine last Friday but couldn't use until Monday. I'm happy with the stamp images. Did a TARDIS card as my first project, i was really pleased with how it turned out. I left it at my husband's computer for him to find. He liked it. Great way to start this part of the Doctor Who season!
I found a Tardis cutting file and a Dr Who font and made my daughter's birthday card.
It turned out pretty nice I think

this is too funny! We just watched a special clip this week on past Doctors and the progression of some of the companions, how fascinating that they used Amelia Pond's niece or maybe it was her young cousin? as the little kid when Dr Who met her long ago....that explains how they got her to look so much like herself when she became a companion!
I never realized my error on stamping the Tardis (I have been watching it for a while (DH has been a SyFy fan for years so in my mind it always pops up as SciFi then I have to do some internal editing! lol!) but for some reason I have not made one single blue Tardis, only red ones or just left them uncolored and stamped in black with that phone booth from Sentimental whatever it was SAB stamp although I will keep it. I did NOT need to know about the Dr Who rubber sheet...how fun! I have lots of UM rubber from my early days of stamping (started with SU back when the choices were wood mount or foam rubber mount then got into the UM world causing my UL great anguist, I am sure, before I settled back down and became a demo) Oh the neglected sheets of UM rubber in my closet! ;-) Rose was the first companion I remember seeing when we started watching the show and it was right at the time she was first starting out AND then Dr Who evolved into a new "doc-ta" so I was rather confused by the whole thing but have come to love the show. I wonder, are there "darlicks" (dah-lick? spelling unknown) on the rubber plate? Exterminate! Exterminate! lol!
Re the Daleks- I think its unlikely there are any stamps for them- until very recently there has been a major fight over who owns the copyright on the character, as the creator ( Terry Nation) had died. It was resolved as the BBC having copyright- someone else was judged to only have a licence to use the character in books. So, just maybe, eventually... you never know.
MY PEOPLE! My family is SO addicted to Dr Who! We actually had fish sticks and custard last Saturday for the season premire! I am SO buying these. Maybe we can set up a thread of just Dr Who cards and mail them to each other...that would be tardilicous!!
My husband's boss of the last 2 1/2 years hosts a Halloween party at his house every year, and I've toyed with the idea of making this costume. His family is majorly into scifi stuff - all the Star Trek, Firefly, etc. Last year they were impressed that we immediately recognized that his daughter was Zoe Washburne from Firefly.
Many, many years ago someone that I know who lived in London at the time had actually
sent me a stamp of a dalek. It's not a large stamp but the details are amazing. After reading all the comments and realizing just how many Dr. Who fans there are, I may have to go dig this stamp out and make a card! You all are seriously inspirational!
Hey! Doodlecraft is my sister-in-law! She spends a lot of time with her Silhouette Cameo making all sorts of shapes.
And for the Docotor Who stamp plate, no Daleks, but there is an Exterminate stamp. We had to stamp out all the stamps on that sheet for my Father-in-law that got us all started on the show. It's all his fault, lol.
Hey everyone! I just uploaded a card using the dalek stamp that I mentioned a couple of days ago. The stamp came from a company called Make Your Mark. I found the actual catalog, the # s 1333f. I googled the company to see if they are still around and they are. The odd thing is nothing on the website matches anything from the catalog that I have. Unless they only have new images on the website I'm a bit perplexed about it. So I hope that everyone enjoys the card.
Hello everyone! I just wanted to let anyone who may be interested that the dalek stamp
from Make Your Mark is available even though it is not shown on the website!!! I had a few people e-mail me about the stamp, and I just heard back from someone who had ordered it, and she was very happy. I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!
Although I'm not a fan - every other member of my family is! Got purchased the plate and know I will be making many happy Who cards for my peeps! Thanks so much for this thread!
