I made a little book for them to explain it an borrowed some books from the school social worker. Kylie wants to go to the funeral home and Jayden just asked me tonight if he could see Grandma. I told him Grandma wasn't coming back and he said, " the...basket". (casket) I told him he could if he wanted to but he didn't have to. So we will take them for a little bit and the DH will take them back to his parents'.
Sorry for your loss. I'm sure that heaven celebrated yesterday. I think it is sweet that your kiddo's want to go and had to giggle about the "basket". I can hear my dgd1 saying something like that stressing the words like "duh noni". It has been a researched situation about allowing children to say their goodbys to deceased lovedones makes the passing easier on them.

Hugs and prayers for you adn yoru family.
