Type of Swap: Assembly Style
Date : Saturday April 13
Time : 10 AM
Place : Karen’s House in Folsom. PM me if you need the address
Fee : $5. No refunds after April 10. Paypal or check accepted
Food : Fee will cover lunch
RSVP : The cut-off date for sign up will be April 8. It will then be posted how many kits are to be made.
Theme : ‘USE IT UP’ – Make a card or project of your choice but use only what you have on hand. No fair buying supplies except for things like tape, pop dots, etc.
**Each person attending will bring at least one sample of a completed card project and kits of the sample to complete.
**This swap is assembly style, which means that each kit should be in some type of baggie, be pre-cut, pre-stamped, ribbon cut, etc. The baggies should be placed in a shoebox or basket to be brought to the swap.
**Envelopes are not required unless card is non-standard size.
The number of kits to be brought will be determined after the close of the sign-up period. Only one card/project is required; however, it is always nice to have a second project, especially if the group is small. It is entirely up to you.
Tool Kits : Please bring a basic tool kit which will include: scissors, bone folder, adhesive, glue dots, pops ups or foam tape. It may also include any other tool that might be needed or useful. If a particular tool or item is needed for your card/project, please indicate when signing up or sometime before the swap. You may post a comment on the thread informing the people signed up what the need will be.
The swap will begin promptly at 10:00 am and conclude when all the cards have been completed.

Hi Lisa,
I hope you can make it, (as well as future swaps). We hold them on the second Saturday of every other month and the venues vary, it's up to the hostess to decide on where.
We always have a great time and come home with THE BEST cards!

Linda...I'll defer your question to Betty or Candice. You might be right about the anniversary!
Have you received any of the e-mails I've sent out...none came back but I'm not sure if I have the right one for you. Or would you prefer not to be on the e-mail list? As long as you check in on this forum, you get the latest news though. Problem is that you aren't notified of replies here if you skip a few days of logging on.
Ruth, glad to see that you will be coming. I'm slowly but surely getting more aquainted with the contingency from the Woodland area and looking forward to being able to be 100% accurate in connecting names to faces.
I'll be posting a list of attendees as soon as I get my act together! I think we are up to at least 8.

Hi Lezlye,
They are always held on the second Saturday of every other month.
If you find you have a free Saturday on one of those dates, we'd love to have you join us. (February, April, June, August, October, December)
Typically we meet at 10 a.m. Depending on the turnout, whether we have lunch, etc....we usually end by 2 p.m.
BTW...we met several years ago at my Demo's house for a class (I gave you the wrong address and you were waiting for me down the street, remember?) ;)

A good question
Someone brought up a good question regarding the Shoebox Swap in April.
She was wondering if it would be okay to use different colors/patterns of paper as long as the components were the same.
The answer is YES! As long as all of the kits are basically the same, it doesn't matter if some papers, ribbons, embellishments, etc. are different.

Hi Ladies,
Wow, it seems like ages since I saw you all last...I think it was the December swap. I had my first cataract surgery last week Monday, the 11th. All went well, I can see again...well, out of my right eye that is...I did really well last week so I may be able to come see you all on the 13th of April. My next surgery is the 8th. I won't be making cards...however I will try to stop by and at least have lunch with you all. Karen, I'll give you some money then, if I do get to come.

Hi ladies,
Time has flown by! I have been crazy busy the last few months. I'm going to miss this one. I think Renee and I are going to hit the stamp show early in the morning, then I am taking the rest of the weekend off. I am going to be working through spring break at a different school, so I just want to recharge my batteries the rest of the weekend before I start work again at my school on Monday =) Have fun! Heat Count for Saturday
Hi Stampers...
Our final count for Saturday's Swap is 11.
Make ten kits plus at least one sample. Two samples would be great (but not necessary) if you can as we will be in two rooms.
