How to not be overwhelmed at SCS?
I've been a member here for a few years and have joined in a few swaps and whatnot but I still get overwhelmed by the sheer number of posts at times. I do not consider myself a beginner but I am nowhere near an advanced level. I would like to interact more on this site but I don't know how not to be overwhelmed. I see challenges on here but then opt out of participating because there will be gobs and gobs of pages to the thread or because I see some of the work posted and think there's no way mine can compare.
Any advice?
TIA

Hi, Jess!
My advice would be for you to jump into the SCS challenges with both feet! It is one of the best ways to interact with the stampers here and build friendships. You will find the members at SCS most welcoming and encouraging!

I would suggest finding one challenge that really appeals to you and stick with that one to start with or you will find yourself overwhelmed. You can always join in with more once you've got the hang of how it works.

Thank you, ladies. I think I will find ONE challenge to start with. Actually go to the challenge sub-forums themselves instead of just hitting the new posts button.

I feel the same way I'm trying to figure out how to upload photos to a company I design for and nothing is working, it's a bit frustrating and I am a total newbie so I have no clue. I'd rather be crafting than trying to figure out how to navigate around a website, frankly. HELP?

For uploading photos, I was given this link by a fellow SCSer:
https://bitly.com/shorten/
Very easy to use and soooo helpful!

Let me invite you to come chat in the You Can Do It challenge! We have a wonderful group of ladies who love chatting and each week someone hosts a new challenge. This week we are doing triple time stamping. It's a great way to find new techniques and the ladies are so helpful if you need help. There are links in my signature to take you to the latest challenge if you would like to check it out! SCS is my favorite site and I spend hours on here each day....

We have a short video guide to uploading. You can view it here: Uploading a Card to the Gallery - YouTube
It explains how to choose the right gallery and use relevant keywords( which are what will mean that your cards show up in a company gallery).
The maximum file size has increased since the video was made - so long as neither side is more than 2000 pixels you're good to go.
If you have any other queries or questions relating to uploading please feel free to drop me a PM.

Jess, nearly all of us were in the same position at some time, I am sure. I have been around a long time and I know that my cards still are not nearly as wonderful as others, but I still add to my gallery.
There have been some great suggestions. I will add my 2 cents.
I find that I just go to a few of the forums most often - rather than read everything, I use the search box to find specific answers.
I looked at your gallery. I found a lot to like! It looks like you might feel comfortable in the clean and Simple challenge (CAS), so that is another one to check out.
It might also be helpful for you to include key words in your description. If you would say "masculine", CAS, etc., then your card would show up in another member's search.
