The Lemonade Stand digital disc in the SAB brochure lists Bermuda Bay as an included color. Do you think it could be reinstated as part of the upcoming color renovation, or is it just a temporary revisiting?
Just wondering...

My demo mentioned them color revamping at this month's workshop. We all thought it was rather soon and demos would riot since SU goes about 5 years between color changes, so the next change shouldn't be until 2015. Bermuda Bay is one of my favorite colors and I use it all the time in paper and ink.
Re: a possible renovation, I think SU announced at convention last year that there would be a renovation this year, and not to dump retiring in-colors, just in case they might come back.
If I heard wrong (or am remembering wrong), I'm sure a kind demonstrator will tell us!

Things in MDS don't retire, other than hostess sets or special items (like SAB content discs). I would be surprised if Bermuda Bay (or Crushed Curry which is also in Lemonade Stand) came back into the color sets. Having old colors come back in new content is one of the things about MDS that I love!

I REALLY love Bermuda Bay and would be thrilled to see SU bring it back! #crossingfingers

Wow, wonder why so soon -it would be just 3 years from the last color renovation, maybe it won't be as major, just some tweaking here and there. They've done that before haven't they?

I too would love to see BB return! I got on the bandwagon too late and I only have a few sheets. Not sure how I got them. I bought the ink pad at a rummage sale.

Nothing in MDS ever retires so anything is game when it comes to MDS.
There is NO certain information that there will be a small color renno this year. Again, there is NO official information but some of us demos think there may be because when the last one happened SU said to look for a SMALLER shake up every 3-5 years or so and this year will be 3. It's all speculation.

They have told us since the last color renovation to hang on to old in colors because they may come back at some point but have never given a date and it's not a new announcement. I don't look for any "old" in colors to come back but would be happy if a few since the reno came back....pear for one!
I hope they don't change all the colors! I just finally have a solid ink set that I'm happy with. Bermuda Bay looks little like Tempting Turquoise - I'm interested!
IMO--We need a nice purple color!!! I'm not "into" the Riding Hood Red much either...Cajun Craze is PERFECT for those cute flower pot cards--it's really close to a real clay pot!
A little change is always good to keep interest. Who doesn't like new and fresh, or oldies but goodies? Like Minders says, there will be changes, what exactly? we don't know, but not supposed to be major.

Just for the record I didn't say that there is a confirmed color change! I'm only speculating off of what SU said at the time of the last one:-) So, only SU knows right now if there will be a change or not but many of us think there will be.
Once Cherry Cobbler came out, I no longer used Riding Hood Red ink at all. RHR was my first SU ink pad and it got that shiny stuff on top, so I tossed it in 2011. Thought about replacing it but realized I didn't miss it.
Oh well, it's all food for thought, we can all speculate and guess to our heart's content.
I am pretty attached to the in-colors which will be retiring in a few months, so I would love it if we could keep some of them around. I am also hoarding my last few sheets of concord crush cardstock and would love to see that come back. It will be fun to speculate on, anyway!
I ordered more Pool Party paper just recently...a very flexible color IMO.
As for Concord Crush, seems very unique. Can't say I've seen anyone else w/a version of that color. Should probably order more of that, too.
I must say that when that year's colors first came out I wasn't thrilled. However, once I started to use them I was hooked. I don't think I used any Eggplant that year and I'm not usually an orange fan, but really liked the peach. The peach, pear and blushing bride all worked well for more vintage type cards with their muted colors and the poppy is just a fun red. Concord was cool in that it could look either purple or blue based on what you paired it with.
I'm a sucker for blues so the pool party, island indigo and midnight muse all get a lot of play from me!
I would love it if some of the in-colors that retired last year and the ones retiring this year would be permanent. SU needs a couple more purples. As far as the greens are concerned (Lucky Limeade and Pear Pizzazz) I would LOVE to see them come back, as long as SU used them to replace other greens. SU has enough greens, IMO. They could easily replace Celery and Old Olive. Same with pinks and reds, SU doesn't need any more of those, but they could replace them.
I still think SU is really lacking with blues. All of their blues, except Night of Navy and Bashful Blue, lean to the green. They need a couple more true blues to replace all the ones they retired.
Oh, and Bermuda Bay is one of my favorite SU colors. I still have quite a bit left from when I stocked up.

What's up with that shiny stuff on top? My ink pads are starting to look like that. Do they need to be replaced? They are not that old. My older ones are just fine.
I've been missing Lavender Lace and Lovely Lilac. Nothing to use in place of them.
I've heard demos say that SU will replace the pads that get the sheen on them. I have one that is doing it-bravo burgundy I think-but as it doesn't seem to affect the color I hadn't worried about it.
