We demos just got a teaser. They will announce the details on Tuesday. Anything else right now is speculation. Can't wait to see!

No further information is available about this yet, demonstrators are in the dark just as much as everyone else, and yes, we will have to wait and see.

I have downloaded the classes and watched the videos- I love it! There is a great tutorial on the Stamp-a-ma-jig, plus great projects for watercoloring, embossing, masking and the basics. This is fabulous for someone looking for great ideas or wanting to learn more about stamping!

I am trying to download it now. You certainly can't beat the price, $14.95 for over 30 projects, videos and pdf's that you can print out and save. It seems that the site is bogged down so maybe waiting till tomorrow might be a good idea! When it downloads fully I will come back and give a report.

Gosh, doesn't this kind of compete with their demos? I depend on my demo for any help needed with "the basics". She has always been wonderful and has so many resource material, handouts & samples she shares.

SU seems to be slowly meeting the realities of the online world we live in. With the intro of online ordering & even the latest tweak where customers can add a hostess code & add to a workshop order online, SU is reaching out to meet the customer who can't or won't attend a party. If I were still a demo I'd be happy to see SU helping me reach out to those who primarily shop online. All my older kids did almost 100% of their Christmas shopping virtuaally! This set of classes seems like a good intro & will surely whet customers' appetites for the tools & products demoed in the classes. They might even generate more interest in attending "live" classes. Seems like a win-win to me.

I've been a demo for many years and I see this as a great thing for everyone. I can use this tool to teach Stamper's new tricks and tips, a customer can use it as a way to learn more tips and tricks at her own pace and time.

So no I don't think Stampin' Up! will ever replace their demos, they are just helping us stay in business with the changing times.

I haven't bought the class yet, but I will. If you go to buy it, you'll note that you can select your demo, which means she'll get commission on the class. It's another way for SU to support the demos by giving another option to run classes for our current customers or to find new customers. As more people are shopping online, it's a good way that I could find someone who's in another state and perhaps interested in stamping or just wants a catalog, and mention that although she can't join in on any local events, she could take the online class SU offers (I earn commission and then should she purchase any products, it obviously is another way the demo benefits).

It's also a good thing because even if someone doesn't select a demo when they take the class, it's helping them get more interested in stamping and papercrafting, so our numbers grow...hooray!

OK I got it to download and even though I have been stampin' for over 8 years and a demo for 7 I learned a few things. I think this will be a perfect compliment to a demo's instructions because you can make the projects AND watch the videos over and over. I knew most of the techniques but a little refresher never hurt anyone. I say it is well worth the money.
