Ok, I can see an injury with a heat gun or an exacto knife or a pair of scissors but I just cut myself with my fiskers cutter! NEVER has it been sharp in any way and now I have a really deep cut on my finger and can hardly stamp or type. It requires a band-aid even (of course, all I have are Elmo Bandaids--that will be so fashionable)! It also hurts!! I need to get these birthday cards done so I can start on my convention swaps, yes I said START! But this procrastination thing is nothing new for me! Well, I had to share because I can't believe how bad this hurts and how deep it is for being my stupid cutter. Thanks goodness I don't have one of those cutters with the big arm blade thingy! Ok, enough whining, back to stamping! Use caution with your viscious Fiskars paper cutters!!
I haven't ever actually cut myself on my Fiskars ( I have the large one from Costco) but I HAVE somehow got my shirt sleeve stuck under the guide and cut my sleeve!!!
It took like 2 weeks to heal! It was such a sharp deep cut and it kept separating and not binding together. I think I did it while replacing my blade... I couldn't believe what a pain it was. It REALLY hurt...
feeling for you!

no bandaids to be found here! They all have boo boos all the time, and then sometimes a bandaid feels better even if there is no actual blood. LOL! I can't keep'em in the house long enough to know what character I bought last!! LOL
Don't use a bandaid...use Crazy Glue! It will hold the wound closed, it won't come off in water, and it doesn't show like a bandaid!
It's true! They sell it as a medical product, but it's a lot cheaper just to buy the glue. It works like a charm, and wounds heal leaving a much less noticable scar. Our school nurse uses it all the time.

I cut myself last week and ruined some swap items I was making by bleeding all over them.
My daughter had an idea and we sprayed liquid band-aid on the cut (borrowed from the horses first aid kit) and it seemed to work alright. My neighbor is a nail technician and she wanted me to put super glue on my cut. OUCH...didn't want to EVEN think of that.
Hope you get your swaps done without any trouble and that your heal quickly!
Cindy

We have Scooby Doo and Hello Kitty!! My worse stamping injury was cutting my finger on the INK PAD while opening it!!!! Don't laugh, someone that laughed at me did the same thing about a month later!
Ok, I'm feeling much better now to know I'm not the only one with silly stamp related injuries! My finger still hurts today and it is pretty deep for just being that little pointy blade (how pathetic)! Also good to know that I am in style with my Elmo band-aid whew!!
The liquid band-aid is a good idea cuz my Elmo keeps getting soggy and now I have sticky adhesive on my fingernail and it really isn't keeping it closed. I have heard the Crazy Glue but I can't bring myself to do it haha!!
So I am determined to suck it up and stamp through the pain and get these cards done. Then maybe by late tonight, if my kids haven't turned my brain to complete mush, I will START my convention stuff!! Aahhhhh, the life of a procrastinator. Hmmm, maybe this whole finger cutting thing was part of Darths meaning of life string to get me to contemplate why I wait till the last minute and what if something bigger had happened to keep me from getting to my swaps-----makes you go hmmmmm!

My personal fav are the Strawberry Shortcake ones. But honestly they don't stick well! I know ouchless ones are the only ones you find but they don't work either
I like the rubber glove over the bandaid idea!

I have kids but have decided in our house there is only to be "normal" band aids in my house.... we use to go through 2 boxes of those "cute" ones a month and so I decided that the other ones will be fine.. Needless to say we don't go through as many if they are "regular icky brown ones" as the kids say... lol... but I have had the barbie, blues clues, bob the builder, elmo, hello kitty, and scooby doo ones already. Besides DH hates it when he had to use the "cute" ones cause they were to "cute" I guess..
I bought Harry Potter ones last time and we also have those neon colored ones that actually work really well! I haven't bought a 'normal' bandaid in years!
Another Winnie the Pooh house here. But, I have a hard time keeping them around. 6 kids and a mountain biking husband = lots of bactine and bandaids! Hope your feeling better soon. Stamping aids in the healing process, or so I've heard?! Kim
Super glue works! It is sterile and will wear off as the cut heals. I have used super glue quite a bit ...knives...well, actually anything sharp, and I don't get along well.lol I have used super glue instead of stiches and now my nurse mil who used to laugh b/c I used superglue is now telling me the hospitals use it and charge like a $100! I think I will stick to my $1 tube.
By the way, in our house we have Sponge Bob, Bob the Builder, Dora, Winnie the Pooh, regular (have to draw smiley faces when we get down to these), and Spiderman.

I love the NEX brand clear bandaids from Walmart. They also come with "tattoo" designs. And boy oh boy, do they stick well. That's the only kind for me. I love to wear 'em to work! LOL
What I think is really funny is that my kids will cry and cry over a little scrape until I put the Bandaid on. As though it has magical healing powers or is filled with a deadening agent!
We can't keep bandaids either, my daughter is always putting them on her dolls, etc. Oh boy... how many more days until school starts????? My youngest (5) will be starting Kindergarten this year, so I have finally arrived! All 3 of them will be in school. Everyone asks me what I am going to do while they are in school and my answer is always, "Enjoy it!"
(You know I will miss them, but can't wait for some quiet time!)
