Neat challenge! I have never done it, but I am glad for the suggestion of the vellum, since I am a traditional scrapper. Love your sample! Be back.

i am doing traditional on this one too, and I think I have vellum, I don't think I will get it put together tonight but the wheels are starting to spin, thank goodness, so it should go together fairly easily hopefully tomorrow

I'd only done this once for another challenge and I love it every time I look at the photo that I journaled on. I do like Terri's suggestion though to use vellum or a transparency and I'm going to try that
Right now I'm chopping toppings for pizza and making cookies as my kids should be arriving in an hour :o

GREAT Idea Patti!
Things I have loved about this VSBN:
- Recycled Challenges - many I didn't get to do the first time & I really like all of them
- VSBN - I love being inspired to get pages done, I'll have almost my monthly goal completed
- Crop - I love crops but I have to say, scrapping and chatting from your own home desk/space is a GREAT way to go
- Friends - I've been scrapping with some of you for over 4 years - I love that we're friends and get to keep seeing everyone's pages
- Time - yup, I'm w/ Patti ... no kids at home usually makes it easier to plan and stick with it.
- Hostess - Love that we had lots of Volunteers and Variety

It's actually a Valentine gift ... not for me (LOL!) My DS is bringing his GF to Ohio as there is a concert they want to go to tomorrow night. They are only staying until Monday morning but I'm looking forward to seeing them.
I just get the benefit of seeing them for a couple days so I'm good w/ that too

Sorry... I had to split earlier, I had issues here at work and I am still here. So it looks like I will miss the rest of the evening with you all. :(
ack... hate it when that happens.
I'm thinking I may have to just design page kits for the rest of the challenges tonight and work on the laptop in the living room for this one. My scrap area is dark, dark, dark, and I'm messing up papers. I'm afraid to see what I put together with the dark light in here. I do have two pages almost done (two challenges) and I can work on pse with this one and then make a plan for the balance.
I think I can chat then too

I love the enthusiasm ladies! And I love the traditional paper scrapbookers trying this challenge too - your results are awesome!
I'm glad I have time tonight to check in and say hello. Wheelchair basketball tournament is going well, though our team has lost both games so far. Teaching the young ones a little humility, lol. They've had a really winning season so far, this is good learning for them.
I'm so excited to be home and playing on these challenges - I agree with all the points you've made Lela about this super VSBN!

This challenge took me way tooooo long! I am not one to stamp on my photos, but this turned out to be a perfect way to spruce up my old photos of Bryce Canyon.
My journaling doesn't show up very well but it is on the picture in the left hand upper corner. I did not write on the picture but on a piece of acetate placed over the picture
I know what I want to do for this one, but when I place vellum over my picture, you can't see the picture, so I need to keep thinking how to do this. Stay tuned ....
Ok so I found some sayings printed onvellum that came with a birthday scrapping ensemble. I used the papers on another layout and was so excited to see the vellum saying sheets with it. I have already cut out my saying. And can now work out my page as soon as lunch is done

Reason: ifigured out how to make it work!!!
I'm looking forward to seeing your page! I think there are various thicknesses of vellum - cardstock vellum is thicker and harder to see through. Of course since I rarely use it, I'm never really sure which I have!!
