A long time ago when I was in Middle School, after a biology guest speaker lectured about beekeeping, my girlfriend & I signed up to be beekeepers with the regional beekeeping association. That year, we learned all about beekeeping from a very generous & passionate beekeeping gentleman who helped us set up & care for our very own hive.
We fledgingly nurtured that hive in my friend�s backyard. That year was the first year in a very long time that the family�s cherry trees blossomed. The trees were gorgeous! And the gardens in the neighborhood never looked as beautiful as the �year of the bees�.
We so often think that the bees & bugs need flowers but it is a reciprocal, symbiotic relationship where the flowers need the bees & bugs just as much. So my challenge is
Create a Spring-time card featuring FLOWERS
as the main image or the main theme.
That�s right- No Creepy Crawlers required for this challenge. Think pretty spring & summer colors featuring at least one flower. The dessert option is to include or use something new since Spring-time is the time of new life. This is totally optional. Just have fun!!

2. You have 45 minutes to complete the challenge.
3. We have a special gallery for the Birds, Bees & Creepy Crawlies VSN. When you click on Member Galleries to access the drop-down list, either scroll to the very bottom of the list (or just hit the End key which will take you straight there), and upload to that gallery .
4. Please remember to put in the correct keyword (MAR13VSNMINI2) when uploading your image. Copying and pasting the challenge keyword is recommended to avoid typos.

Great challenge. I love spring flowers. Cool story about keeping bees, what a great experience. I've got some daffodils in mind, going to go try to do this one. Thanks for the inspiration!
Here is my February Birthday. I got to unwrap and use my new Secret Garden Bundle from SU! Now that took some time to get the stamps punched out and the labels put on them.

had to go eat supper, we did healthy. Baked cod, broccoli (with cheese sauce) and zuchhini. it was all yummy and then DH said he would clean up the kitchen for me. awww.
i have made my second card but don't have a url for it yet.
off to do the third challenge. i haven't played VSN for so long, i forgot how much fun it is.

I did finish it within the time limit, despite having to stop & load a new roll of adhesive in my ATG! I don't know about anyone else, but I always have to get the directions out...and go slow, or I end up with a real mess! :rolleyes:
