Default Can you use Movers & Shapers dies without the magnetic part?

I was wondering if it is possible to use the Movers and Shapers die cuts without the Big Die (that has the magnetic back).

I don't need the placement of the die on my card front, I just want to use this cut out shape for adding another layer.

If it is possible, what is the "sandwich recipe" for the Big Shot? THANK YOU!!!

I don't know how to make a link to the other posting with a good answer. Scroll down on the forum page to a title "Tim Holtz and Movers & Shapers".
I got a terrific response from Bonnie about Movers & Shapers. I hope this helps you. Janelle
