This week's SCS Inspiration Challenge site ~ MacKenzie-Childs ~ was suggested by Sallie ( hobbydujour ) she loves to visit their flagship store in NYC & thought their designs could be interpreted for a variety of styles. MacKenzie-Childs was born of out of a love of home and the founders commitment to fresh, innovative design.
For those of you who say you get overwhelmed with having too many choices, Ive uploaded five of my favorites so just stick with one (or all) of those for your inspiration.
The rest of you, remember to let us know which item from MacKenzie-Childs that inspired you.
Use the keyword: IC370 (no spaces or extra characters) when you upload your card, and make sure you put commas between your key words.
How to Play ~ View the attached images. You may be inspired to recreate the pieces ~ but that isn't necessary ... get your inspiration from the colors, layout, style or 'theme'. Just enjoy wherever your inspired creative journey takes you. Remember, if you are inspired by the creation of another artist, please do not use print-outs of the art in your creation or directly copy their work. Make the inspiration piece your own. Don't worry ~ no card is 'wrong' and there is no time limit for uploading your card for the challenge. There are no rules, so let your creative juices run wild ~ be *inspired* and go get stamping!
Don't forget about No Upload Sunday - Let's give the gallery moderators a day off and not upload on Sunday (unless, of course, you are a Fan Club member - yet another reason to spend a little money on your favorite site). Also, remember to link to your SCS gallery on this thread. Thank you for joining me on this inspiration journey.
Thanks, Stephanie, for this opportunity. I've loved McK-C for years for the whimsical and happy feeling of their pieces. This was the first time I translated their style to a card. It was fun!
Great site! I was inspired by KNIT ORNAMENT- SANTA HEART with its cheery, slight quirky Santa. I used a tissue box Santa image, some brass stencil based holly, berries and poinsettias, and my SU XL cog punch with 2 mini pom poms. Here's Santa Celebrates

What a great discovery this was! I had never heard of MacKenzie-Childs, and plan on visiting the site again soon! Here is today's CARD which was inspired by the Peony Watering Can found HERE!
Great site, Stef! I was inspired by Butterfly Entrance Mat with its bright colors and butterfly motif. I used SU's Bunch O' Bugs, added a party invitation, and a tea box for my curliques at the top and the bottom of the card. Added a foam ornament with gold cord, and a shiny candy cane. Here's Party Time

Here is another card inspired by MacKenzie-Childs - a WOW site. I was inspired right away by the slipper sample, but passed it up. Just had to go back.
WOW! - what a fabulous store- wish we had this one in the UK. Lots of inspiration for cards here Sallie.
This is my first challenge on SCS although I have been a secret viewer for a while.
I hope I have done this right-
