Happy New Year Everyone!! I had planned to create and post this challenge at mignight last night, but plans changed when my son invited us over at the last minute for New Year’s Eve. So, it’s a bit late, but still on the 1st!…
All scrappers are welcome to play—whether digi or traditional! If you have questions, you can post them here or PM me.
Don’t know what a Progressive Challenge is? Go here to learn.
PROGRESSIVE CHALLENGE 8 - TASK 1 (JAN. 2013)
1. Start with a 12x12 background paper.
2. Add one or two more layers of paper on top, each one smaller than the last.
3. Create a grid with various rectanguler shapes. Some of the boxes in the grid will eventually contain your photos (3-6 photos, your choice). You can use a pre-made template for the grid or create your own. (Use whatever colors you choose to fill in the boxes, as they will be changed as we go along.)
NOW UPLOAD:
- Remember to first save your page in its original version (.psd for Photoshop) to maintain your layers, so you'll be able to make changes/additions in Task 2.
- Save your page for the web as a .jpg (600x600 or less). To add your page to this gallery and the monthly scrapbook gallery just add DGSCPR008Task1 and SBC13JAN to your keywords when uploading. Also, please take a minute to post a link to your sample page on this thread so we won’t miss seeing your work!
Ya never know, Terri. My son & DIL called us last minute and invited us over to their house. We had a good time with them and our DGDs and another couple. I'm not big on going out to clubs or such for NYE, but spending it with family--now, that's the way I like to do it!
i tend not to scrap lots of photos on one page, so i figured i did not want a grid with a gazillion blank spots to fill. maybe i should start saving those random photos that come with new frames, so i have filler family!

Don't feel bad...I haven't decided what photos to use in my layout either. And it'll probably be hard since I don't take many pictures that can be used with the color of the background and paper that I chose but I love those type of colors! I might just have to change photos to black and white...now there's a thought Glad you helped me to decide on that
Yeah! Finally started a digi page, its been a while. I am using a free kit called 'little Lola'. I don't have any information on it so it must've been a free kit, it looks like it's by 'Maya'. Of course after I did everything in my Gallery I realized it is Sunday so I can't link it here now but I did attach to this post. TFL! :-)

I just love those colors & patterns! Can't wait to see it with photos.
Missed the progressive challenges this month! Lovely long Aussie Summer holidays, but I got a craft room all setup now, kids back to school next week and then I will be back in the group! Thanks Wendy for all the challenges last year, look forward to lots more!
