Stopping in because I happened to get a 3rd page done for this month! My family was wrapping my gifts so I was banished to my bedroom, hahaha, and this is what I created in that time: SubZero
I think I am ready for Christmas (calendars arrived!!)...now we just need to bake treats. Kids are out of school early Friday!

Tanya, I'm jealous you got your calendars done and have received them. I didn't get mine done in time. :( (It's called procrastination!) Your page is really cute--ice cream--yum!
Terri--your page is SOOOOOOO darling. Your pooch is so photogenic!

Somebody banish ME to my room!! Oh, wait, I am banished but it is called clean up the room so it can be turned back into a temporary bedroom!! :( I am already missing access to my stuff by just thinking about it........... Man, a whole week, eek!
Wonderful wonderful page. I am looking forward to all of those super Christmas photos.

Think of all the photos for new pages the banishing will result in!!!
I would like to be banished to MY crafty corner. Instead I'm at work with a computer that is on the fritz (so I can't work anyway) so I am sitting here on my iPad fiddling and killing time waiting on the phone to ring in case anyone needs us! Ah well. I was home Mon-Wed with my son, and he at least is doing well recovering from his dental surgery. Still home today, still swollen and icing his jaws, but he says his pain isn't too bad.

Yay for you, Terry! Glad you found some time. How are you liking PSE 11?
PSE 11 seems to have all the same bells and whistles as PSE9 plus more but it's a lot harder to find them. Everything seems to have been moved around and every time you use something...like the cookie cutter....the photo bin disappears so you have to click on an icon to make it reappear to use it again. The right side of the screen is different as well. Still haven't figured out how to make more than 2 things stay on it at the same time (like the layers and effects). Can be very frustrating at times if you're in a hurry or just have limited time to scrap. I haven't had an opportunity yet to really play and experiment to try things out.
Since, the move would take place 6 months from January 2013, last weekend I cleaned up the scrapbook room!!!
Now, up to finish a lot of scrapbooks and projects before it, so the move is lighter!!!

Merry Christmas Everyone!! Santa tasked me with getting the Digital Challenge threads going today, and so here I am! I hope that everyone is having a wonderful day - whether it is shared with lots of family around you, or quietly enjoying time alone reflecting on another year gone by. Here are the Digital Challenges for the week - which as always our traditional scrappy friends are more than welcome to join in on! There's no time limit, we can't wait to see your work!
Merry Christmas everyone! I've been MIA due to sickness & getting ready for today but hopefully I'll be back in the swing soon! Hope your day is full of photo ops!

Lou Ann, Sorry to hear you've been under the weather! We're glad to see you back scrappin' with us (at least posting) ;)
It's a blizzard here today (supposed to get 10-12 inches) so it's a good day for scrappin ...

I hope everyone is enjoying the holidays! We come up to my parents every Christmas night and my kids and I are still here. Mom and I are attempting to clean up what should be her craft room but is really more of a storage area. But later today we're gonna try out the Big Shot I got for Christmas!
I am still considering a goal for the coming year, but in the meantime my mom has asked me to put together a calendar for her aunt and sister, LOL. So I guess that will be my January goal!
And in the meantime, here's a link to my blog posts of how the calendar actually turned out, lol. Happy New Year to everyone! Calendar 1 Calendar 2

2024 Scrapping Goals: March 8/12; Feb: 6/15; 2024: 35/125
Hope everyone's holiday weekend is going well. I just finished up the 4th week of the digital progressive challenge and this layout makes #52 so I averaged one per week this year.
Merry Christmas Ladies! We just returned from our 2 week trip to NJ/PA and are back here warming up in FL! I hope to catch up this week while the girls are on R&R. DH goes back to work next Wed; the kid's the 9th. Santa bought me a new laptop but I've not had the chance to explore it since my mom doesn't have internet and everything seemed to need downloading. I have warned my family that I want to scrap so I hope to get to it on Monday. See you all then! :-)
Its almost the end of December - and the end of 2012!! I must admit I'm feeling a bit anxious about the upcoming year, I'm not really sure why. I know it is not because of the scrapbooking goals ;) LOL
Looking forward to posting some new pages tomorrow!

I'm up watching Team Canada hockey again. It has messed up my inner clock, lol. I've been arranging my space again - pretty happy with it! My plan is to scrapbook in the New Year! It has been a bit of a tradition for me these last few years, and I'm excited to get in my zone as I've been trying all week and things keep getting in the way.
I've been invited to be part of the Stampin' Up! Creative Crew here on SCS for the next 4 months, and our first set of challenge projects will be live tomorrow! I need to get two more done today!
Who else will be around today???

I have spent the last 3 years NYE scrapping too! I've been at my desk all day. I'm working on finishing "partials" that I've had sitting here. I got 12 done last night, another 14 already today but I have a slew of them. Figured it would be a great way to start 2013 Scrappin'.
CONGRATS to you on making the Creative Crew! Can't wait to see your creations.
I'll also be posting the 2013 Scrap Thread tonight... can you believe it?! Some of us have scrapped together now for 5 years...WOW!

Terri congrats on being added to the Creative Crew for 2013.
It looks a little lonely in this thread this month. Like me everyone has been busy but I see a few have been working hard!! Not me, I did not quite make my goal. Oh well there is always next year.
I just got back into my studio after ten days, it seems like 10 weeks! I could not believe how much I missed not having access to my room. I think not having my retreat was harder than having 12 people for lunch and dinner everyday. It seemed like everytime I needed something I said "It's in my studio". Wouldn't you know it was the only room in the house where the occupants spent 85% of their time, in bed or on xbox, or getting way from the little kids, then when I could get in ALL of the floor space.
OK, that is the last of the whine for me in 2012.
I am looking forward to 2013 and have to make up my mind about my goal for the year. I want to spend a lot more time scrapping this year but not sure how I will manage it.

Just got back from a New Year's Eve bowling party with DH, DGS, my brother, SIL and niece. I rocked the first game with a 189! and whooped my DB who has a 180 average...hee hee! The second game he was trying to teach me how to roll a curve ball so I barely made 100 but we still had lots of fun trying to bowl in the dark with strobe lights flashing. Now DGS and I are watching Full House and waiting for the ball to drop. DH went to bed already....party pooper! I do believe DGS may not make it tonight until 12 either...we'll see.
One more note for the New Year...remember back a while ago when I wrote that some things were going to be happening...well, last Thursday my DH bought out another business's assets (machine shop) and offered jobs to the men who lost their jobs. Most of them accepted and beginning on Jan 2nd, I will now be helping to run his "new" business. He took on another partner through this process and I now officially have my own office (with a TV). I don't have to be at work until DGS goes to school in the a.m. and I get to leave by 3:15 p.m. so I'm home for when DGS gets home from school. Once things get straightened out, I'll even be able to work from home and answer the shop phones from home! Technology is a wonderful thing!
I think I love my new boss It's been a really LONG process...we started 8 months ago trying to make this deal and it's been a killer not being able to share it with anyone because of confidentiality agreements. Getting laid off in October was a blessing in disguise as it helped with getting everything ready for this new business venture without me feeling guilty cause I'd have to work elsewhere. I was having such a difficult time trying to figure out how to tell my previous boss that I would have to resign and God certainly helped me out with that decision! So, let 2013 come...it's gonna be a wonderful year!
Glad everything worked out for you Terry! Sounds like the perfect job!
Thanks....even if it's only part time right now, it'll be nice to make my own hours and not feel pressured to make plans for daycare anymore. My "boss" is so easy to get along with (at least right now ;))
Congratulations Terri! How fun! Will be watching for your creations and challenges.
And congratulations to Terry on the new business and job.
I never got on here to wish everyone Merry Christmas, as like Sharon I had a house full, and no access to my craft room, except as the videos and video game room (WII, etc.) for over a week.
Anyway, I am on and I wish you all a Happy New Year! Blessings to all my great SCS friends!
Sharon
